Levi and Jagger Townley in the 85 class.

Wonder how those from USA can afford to make the long trip? Yes a dig at the pro’s

Thank you!
Mum and dad I spose but I think it's great they make the effort to go especially as they probably aren't used to riding in sand.
i hope they get a few practices to learn the track , would make it fair on the non euro kids
Yeah Nico, good luck for tomorrow! 🙌
Nico Verhoeven in the 65s is a fast NZ kid too. Scottnz was saying he's been there for a month.
Does anyone know how the ama selects the team for this here in America ?
Which races are the spots selected from ? Spring ding and spring nationals ?
It probably still cheaper than a trip to LL!
Great form from the Kiwi boys!!!!!

A piece of history about the winners of the 80/85 class from 1999-2006.. Lots of familiar names and later champions. This year seems to be the year of the next generation. 85 cc class. First Levi Townley with 1-3 scores and second Lucas Leok with 4-1 scores.
It's also worth mentioning that Lucas is just 12 yo and Levi is 14 yo. At this age, it seems like an eternity. So props to Lucas

Wow!
Uganda sent four riders for 65 and 85 each .
There must be a lot of people racing motocross in Uganda .
Does anyone know the age groupings for 65s and 85s there at the world champs and bike requirements? Mod / Stock ?
Pit Row
65 cc 10-12
85 cc 12-14
125 cc 14-17
So Lucas Leok could still ride in the 65cc class this year (which he won last year, by the way) and there are rumors that next year he will probably ride most of the races in the 125cc class.
We're talking about a future big bikes world champ here
It’s mostly Jeff Cernic setting everything up, finding the bikes getting hotels set up and getting some sponsors to chip in. The trip is pretty much all paid for by each family. I don’t think ama or anyone like that really steps in from what I’ve gathered from working with them this year on this.
No overall results for 125 yet
What about manufacturers?
Are the age groups based on racing age or actual age on the date of the event ?
Are Cobra’s not allowed in this race? I see Jayden Smart is riding a Yamaha and I don’t see any Cobra 65’s.
Yeah that’s what I was wondering seeing as Uganda has a population 1/7 of the us and probably a much larger disparity in the amount of people who race motocross there.
Somehow these guys funded their trip. Is our sports program on par here in the USA with how the athletes are being supported?
Why? Race whatever brand you want
I think he meant was the cobra homologated for fim competition
It is worth mentioning that in the 65cc class the world champion titles are not awarded, but it is a world cup.
