From RX twit:

"We hear that Grant Langston is getting a tryout right now on RV's Monster Kawi at a SoCal track. Stay tuned."

and a pic: http://tweetphoto.com/21070216

Really stoked if that works out for GL!

That would be cool. Him and Chad would have a good time on the team together.

I agree, they have been good buds for a while. Chad's story about Grant and watches was funny

Kawi would be crazy not to have a guy like Grant fill in. He flies outdoors! Hell He won the damn thing 2 years ago.

There have been suspicions that the team could be on the verge of falling apart

SWEET DEAL!

This will be the first time Langston has ever had a really competitive bike in the big boys class yeah?

Ktm250sx - shit suspension

07-09 yz450- a big dog compared to the other brands

2010 yz450 - I have yet to see someone looking comfortable on one of those

This is your time to shine GL8!! WHOO!

Douche move of the day. I only say that because I'm sure that his factory yamaha was really slow compared to the other brands. Grant and Josh both looked very uncomfortable on the 2010 this year also. I'm just throwing that out there

Last time GL raced the 450 Nats he won.
Last time CR raced the 450 Nats he won.

Sounds like a decent team...

Depends if he wants to pay for a bike or not.

Reed claimed the 07-08 yz 450 was a p.o.s, no one ever cut up the field on one, mxa always went on about changing the engine mounts to try and fix handling issues- and they have an extra valve compared to the other bikes- so the engine cant make as much power as the rest.

There is no way a J-Law racing 2010 yz 450 can be as good as a factory Kawi 450.

Wey is a great guy, but he will never challenge for the Championship. Grant always has a shot. Plus Reed and Grant have won The last 2 years, and would push each other to be up front, and have fun.

And Dietrich never got a call. Amazing!

Back in the day when either of those two riders would have demanded a million dollar base salary, Japan's question would have been a source for internet silliness.

I think Ricky-D. would give up a lot to put himself on that bike, shortlived as it may be.

He would do well.

GL won on an 08 frame in the 2007 series... He got it at Southwick... Don't think Chad ever claimed the 08 was junk, but he definitely never looked great on the 04-07 Blue 450... And when he got on Yellow he definitely looked like he was back to riding a 2 stroke...

Langston won his 07 outdoor title on an 08 yz450f, reed won the sx title in 08 on a 08 yz450f and stewart won the 09 sx title on a 2009 yz450f. In the GP's cariloi won the world title on one, and so did David Phipparts (sorry on his last name spelling)

Damn those yami's were crap, lol.

GL8 has the X-FACTOR.. more than capable, as long as he is healthy.
I think NW27 is at best, a top 5 guy on an outstanding day..
If Nick gets the ride, i would love to see him up there as i was a huge fan of him on the suzuki.
He was very arrogant when i had the chance to meet him at glen helen 06, Was dissapointed after coming over from Australia looking forward to meeting him in the pits.
I gather i caught him on a bad day, the big league would cause good guys to have bad days i guess!

HMMM The truth is Langston has never not been on a great Bike. The KTM's were fine. In A interview I read that he gave he mentioned that the best bike he ever road was his 125SX back in the day. So all I can say is WHOOOOOO you are a bit off on your observations.
