Hey everyone new to the forum. I ride a 2005 RMZ 450. I want to get into motocross and would like to find a track around here to practice. I found a video on youtube, had to be So-Hum, a nice track to practice. If anyone knows of this track and has access I would love to meet you and am willing to pay money to practice there and sign a liability waiver. Anyways if anyone here is in Humboldt I am down to ride some trails. I am from Crescent City and know every trail and mountain road there, I don't know of many places to ride with the exception of Mt. Baldy. I am looking for some jumps to practice on it has been a while. Thanks.

Another county supervisor is working with green diamond to get 40 acres in blue lake for us to have a track at. Dunno how far he's getting though.

Used to be a track in Garberville way back when.
Ferndale river bar will be good again once it rains, I’ll be working the sand track again with my skid steer.
I’m meeting army Corp about our road we’ll need to build into the track we’re starting in Loleta on Wednesday at 10, then another tribal meeting the next Tuesday. Hopefully have the track up and going around mid October.
You gonna race redwood acres this weekend, tracks pretty limited but it’s still a fun time on a bike.
In grew up in eureka in the 80s and 90s. Did some racing but just local, with a n annual trip to washougal and Hangtown, gold beach and Rosemary. There used to be Phillipsville track down on the south fork eel. Was an awesome outdoor track. But 95% of our writing was on all those trails they go from behind Redwood acres all the way out to Maple Creek and blue Lake, Hell, you can go from Redwood acres and come all the way out in Bridgeville by Ruth Lake if you want. I wish they had OnX Maps back then. Great place to grow up But unless you wanted to continue growing weed, you pretty much left that town. Tons of riding, but the hippies really cracked down on the dirtbikes. Favorite spot of ours to go to Samoa dunes and rip.
I’m not sure if you guys are familiar with Dana Creech, but I’ve known him since we were five years old. He’s born and raised in Eureka. He was one class behind me so class of 2000 Eureka high. He’s the owner of area 52 out towards Redding….. Where all the big boys go to send 200 foot whips.
It’s 109 in Roseville today boy I can go for some 60° Humboldt weather
That was phillipsville track. It was running strong in the mid 90s but got shut down. I left tumble county and I’m now in Placer county, Tracks absolutely everywhere here which is great Marysville has 3 separate private facilities Riverfront, E-street, and MMX. Plus a hidden public gem off the feather river. Then you got Hangtown/Prarie city, Mammoth Bar, Dixon, In too many OHV riding spots to name.
But I sure miss 50-70 weather. SoHum gets warmer but I miss those 61 degree summer days in Eureka. It was a great place to grow up where cops wouldn’t pull you over as a teenager riding on the roads with your dirtbike
