Consider the source. She was nominated because of the affirmative action, not her qualifications. Did you even listen when she got in? When she talked that her "life eperience" would make her a better Justice. No lady, it's about the constitution not your upbringing. You also had Justice KB say in regard to free speech censorship, I'm concerned it will hinder the government. Like WTF lady, that's EXACTLY what the first ammendment does, limit the effen government. All the ammendments for that matter. They all state what the government CAN'T do.
You keep listening to them and you too will soon have no rights.

From "fuck the king" to "yeah, no, for sure, we're cool if he kinda does whatever he wants" in 250 years.
Pathetic.
I told you guys a while back that there would be gnashing of teeth and shitting of pants (and panties).
Winning…😎
The fact that you don't realize you didn't win either is frightening.
I have no idea how anti-government / pro-government conspiracy guys are celebrating this; ya'll believe that the government has fucked over a shit ton of people and successfully covered it up, now you're giving a guy the power to "do what he needs to do", and you don't think at some point down the line a president wouldn't consider classifying you, your children, or your grandchildren, or your grandchildren's grandchildren as enemy of the state and have them executed "because he needed to what needed to be done to save the union"?
A win? Not even close. A massive L for everyone that isn't a future president and those who worship them.

The king did what the king wants, the president still has to follow the constitution and laws from the congress. This only states that in doing his job, he cannot be criminally prosecuted. The president is the only person that can authorize the killing of an american on foriegn soil. If there is a valid reason for it and he does it, do you really want him to go to jail for it? It's not like he can say "go raid the previous president's Mar a Lago for whatever you might find" oh yeah, a president already did that and didn't get prosecuted for it. Hmmm?

I don’t think we can differentiate between pants and panties anymore for they/them.
The countdown to the second coming of Reichstag has begun.
We just took our first legit step towards a future president declaring themselves fuhrer. I'd love to say "hopefully it wont happen" but Jan 6th clearly showed us there are plenty of people willing to do some super dumb shit for a leader who declares they're saving the country. And that's not even a dig against Trump or his supporters, personally I do think his ego would lead him to do something pretty fucked up should we give him even more power, but it could be either party down the line.
No man (particularly ones that pick judges) should be above the law, current or future.
Unlike you, apparently, I’m no legal scholar. However, if the roles were reversed and any Republican president decided to turn his DOJ loose on Joe, O, or Wild Willy for some of the things they did while in office, the left would lose their collective (double entendre intended) mind over that. They should be thankful now that if Trump does get elected again, he can’t go after their boys for “doing their job” and some guard rails are in place.
"Oh no, a billionaire got caught cheating on his taxes! Woe freedom" cries the party that is going around wedging themselves into conversations between doctors and their patients, telling people who they can and can't marry, banning books they don't like, and punishing people who have nothing for sleeping in the only place they can afford; the street.
"They should be thankful now that if Trump does get elected again, he can’t go after their boys for “doing their job” and some guard rails are in place."
Not only are you no legal scholar, but you clearly don't know shit about history either. Reichstag 101.
What's your stance? I'm not quit sure. Open the borders, quit prosecuting crime, defund the police, suppress freedom of speech, increase taxes, hire 85,000 IRS agents to knock on doors and say Hi, have them armed while doing it, track every bank transaction above $600, get as many people in the population dependent on the government as possible, indoctrinate students instead of teach them, suppress free thinking in colleges, sterilize children without parents knowing, shit on our veterans and give that money to illegals, funnel as much tax payer money as possible into the pockets of family and friends, mandate vaccines and fire those who do not comply, deplete our military and weed out those who have the demeanor to fight, give money to our enemies, save the democracy of the 2nd most corrupt country in the world, cancel those who do not agree, lock up your political opponent.
Does that sound about Reich? (sp)
Open the borders
Nope, just make the green card process not take 20 years.
Quit prosecuting crime
Nope. But can we all agree to stop sending people to jail for stupid shit like weed and being homeless?
Defund the police
Nope. We should pay the cops more to attract better quality people with the hopes of high pay meaning higher standers meeting less shitty cops.
suppress freedom of speech
I can literally say anything I want at anytime right now... yet the R's are banning books. Freedom of... reading?
increase taxes
On the super rich. I get it, I'm a capitalist too, but there's no reason so few people should have all the money. I don't even say that morally, I mean it historically, nothing good comes when a few have everything.
hire 85,000 IRS agents to knock on doors and say Hi
Sounds like jobs to me... don't fuck around on your taxes, don't find out.
have them armed while doing it
I'm pretty anti-violence but history has shown us that some or the gnarliest criminals have had some serious tax issues.
track every bank transaction above $600
The terrorists win again!
Get as many people in the population dependent on the government as possible
Population growth + a society in which very few have everything = government dependence.
indoctrinate students instead of teach them / suppress free thinking in colleges
What do you think happens when people from all different backgrounds meet, and talk, and work together? They start talking and connecting and developing empathy for everyone. I'm sorry that you feel empathy is a result of indoctrination but you're not giving kids in college enough credit for being strong enough to form their own opinions.
sterilize children without parents knowing
How many times has this happened? Who did it? What happened to them? Pretty broad fucking claim for the "democratic party" as I know a fuuuuuck ton of democrats and ain't none of us cool with it.
shit on our veterans
Blah blah blah, a bullshit talking point as old as the US itself. Both parties have almost always failed our veterans.
and give that money to illegals
"You gave up your entire family history, left your country, fought to got here to try for a better life, sure, here's a few bucks... we're already paying for a fuck ton of folks who ain't doing shit anyhow, go get that American dream!"
funnel as much tax payer money as possible into the pockets of family and friends
Like Trump's tax cuts for the rich? Nah. But I am all about helping out the working man if he needs some help. Fucker shits in a gold toilet for gods sake and his wife has handbags worth more than my car... he and his buddies don't need my money.
mandate vaccines and fire those who do not comply
Vaccines have for a lot of diseases that killed a fuuuuuuck load of people in the past. I know that sounds radical, "mandate them?!", but when / if people who don't get the vaccine get sick and they can't work or loose an ability to walk or breath or die (polio) they're going to get a bunch of my hard earned tax money for their own mistake.
deplete our military and weed out those who have the demeanor to fight
Vietnam and a 20 year war for nothing did that.
give money to our enemies
sometimes an act of kindness is a wonderful thing
save the democracy of the 2nd most corrupt country in the world
Egg soup rock tomato neon light... I'm not sure which of our sentences made more sense.
cancel those who do not agree
Cancel culture isn't real but it suuuuuure is scary.
lock up your political opponent.
The courts just made this a possibility!!!
You seem to have strong feelings about this. Just what actually, substantially changed with this ruling? Are you afraid that suddenly the executive branch is gonna lie about why the president made his decisions to do what he wants?
Like, assassinate a sitting president (probably JFK)?
Lie us into a full-on war (Spanish American war, Vietnam, Iraq II)?
Use war to take some of our freedoms (Spanish American again, WWI, WW II, Vietnam again, Iraq II again)?
Lie about the origins and dangers of a pandemic ( yk)?
Lie about their political opponents to the point of crippling their administration and bringing them to the point of impeachment (Russian Collusion)?
Lie for years about the cognitive ability of the president (yk)?
If you look at many of those lies, you will find they were perpetrated by "progressive" icons. There are probably many others perpetrated by "conservatives," you can look them up if you want, idgaf.
But to whine that NOW the president can wantonly take away rights, get millions killed or punish his enemies because now all they have to do is lie about it?
Stupid, blind take.
Can you tell which light bulb you are? I bet everyone else can....
Like a man I took my time to respond to every (obviously sarcastic) question he had and you jump in only to contribute insulting me.
Pathetic and unsurprising but you do you, guuuurl! I'm going to go on back to ignoring you now. Clllleeaarly not worth my time.
I couldn't agree more, Presidents have done some insanely bad things historically.
But to whine that NOW the president can wantonly take away rights, get millions killed or punish his enemies because now all they have to do is lie about it?
We have a man running for president who tells an INSANE amount of lies and you're wondering why I'm worried that the bar has now been lowered to, "all he has to do is lie about it"?
Like a man I took my time....
Was that assigned at birth, or did you like football too much as a young girl and get the ol' switcheroo done?
So can we agree that words are powerful also? That words and information can ruin a life, a city, state, or even a country? So the congress has complete immunity for their words spoken in congress (their capacity in their work), judges have immunity from their rulings (working in their official capacity) but in your eyes the immunity should not happen in the executive branch? A very interesting opinion you have my friend.
TM
Well, we have a President right now who has been known as a liar his entire political career (and his educational career before that). He lied to you a couple years ago about how the mess in Ukraine started and who blew up the Nordstream pipeline (the worst greenhouse gas disaster in history). His administration and party have lied to you for years about his condition.
He also lied multiple times the other night and the only reason he didn't lie more is because he lacked the ability to form words and sentences.
You're one of these principled folks that have been saying that you are trying to "save democracy," but you'll be fine to vote for the candidate put in Joe's place, thus ignoring the millions of votes cast for him in the primary. You'll whine about the Electoral College because it gives too much power to small states, but it'll be ok to disregard individual votes from the primary (the presidential elections that are most purely democratic).
The reason you'll make that decision is because you hate Trump, I get it. I'm not a fan.
But don't act like the party that lied to you and the public for so long about Biden is morally superior in any way They've put you in a position to either vote for someone like Biden or vote for someone that the people didn't vote in during primaries.
I guess just quit being so smug.
Pit Row
So, like I said earlier…
The Executive Branch has the powers of the executive…?
Oh, ok. Some of you can go back to losing your shit about the simple fact that nothing has changed.
The rabid histrionics are expected from the usual suspects.
The only thing missing from this recent round of repetitive flailing is,
[End quote] at the end of each of his copypasta/teleprompter style "dissents"
Soto would be proud.
A certain person that’s gone by SEVERAL SCREEN-NAMES…as of late claiming he’s from Hollywood…which isn’t too far from his true spiritual home…West Hollywood…well, this guy fancies himself some sort of SCOTUS guru…and, yet…he can’t bring himself, to comment on this. Why?
Because, he knows some of us will actually READ the ruling and laugh at the his hysterics and even some of the dissenting insanity that has nothing to do,with the ruling.
But, I digress and will simply let the haters return to their hysterics as they forget the charter of this nation including their mis-references there-to.
We Don’t Have To Make This Shit Up.
Ahhh, the classic boomer arguing technique where you put words in the other persons mouth in order to manufacture comparisons because you can’t actually weaken the other persons argument with words they’ve actually said.
Show me where I’ve said congress and judges should have immunity.
Best thing to happen tp our country in the last 4 years.
"Show me where I’ve said congress and judges should have immunity."
It's not that you said they should, but they do, and you never complained about it. Now you act like this is something unusual. It's not, both other branches have it, now all 3 have it. Show me where you complained any of the other 2 have it.
“banning books they don't like”
Tell us which books were banned.
Keeping books that teach 5 year olds that they need to be homosexuals out of school is not banning them.
If their parents approve, they can buy them and let their own children read them. Of course, they would be sick bastards to do that, but they can choose.
Yet another classic boomer response; accuse the other person of saying something then make them do the work to prove you wrong.
Sounds like a conspiracy theory
Seems like some do not understand that Trump did not receive immunity from prosecution in this case. This ruling only delays the trial. It goes to a district judge to sort out the charges so that if and when the case is brought to trial that it does so without including charges that are deemed within the president's official actions. Which was my question that I asked at the start of this thread. How are official actions differentiated from unofficial? That will be the task of the district judge I guess.
The way I understand it, that is correct.
Good God man, at least I have an excuse for bad memory (too many drugs) but it's right in the post, the quote from you "show me" and then you claim it's the old guy's response to say "show me"?
Post a reply to: Absolute immunity for acts in Presidential capacity
