With him coming off of Star coupled with getting hurt after his championship season, he kinda was in a hole from the getgo. He definitely struggled on the mighty Honda the short time he was there. He gets another chance on a well-run team. Best wishes "K"olt
From what I heard Beta decided to take some marketing money from dirt bike magazine ads and put it into something different. They chose Doug Gordon and his race team. Do some research on that team. They run their operation just like Beta. It's a small family affair racing big budget teams on a very small budget. The team is from the same area as Beta. Beta has got a lot of TV time with these guys and they have a badass rolling bill board going down the road. If you happen to be at an NHRA event do yourself a favor and go meet the team. The whole family is great and they may not be dirt bike people but they do a great job of representing Beta. And the coolest thing, Doug has retired from driving and one of his daughters had taken the seat. She is winning already.
No research needed, although it is a feel good story and all, it certainly doesn't help actual mx/sx.
I didn’t say twisted tea, it’s hep. Kenny just has a conflicting sponsor. Same team

Beta doesn't sell enough MX bikes to justify having a SX team. They have to sell Xtrainers, 300RR's and 500RRS's to have the budget to go racing. They sell trail bikes to average Joe and that is who they are trying to advertise to.
So why have a SX team then with guys that can't complete a season? You really think the average NHRA spectator is seeing the sponsor and saying, hey, Beta motorcycles...hmmm? Its like an ad campaign for dirt bikes in a Sierra Club newsletter.
We're splitting hairs but Progressive Ecstar Suzuki and Twisted Tea Suzuki are separate teams with separate rigs. The comments you were referencing were talking about adding a third bike to the Twisted Tea HEP rig.
Yep, it takes some time and patience. You also need feedback from the rider.
