Anyone else notice that Star is drilling new engine mount holes and plugging the OEM/old hole with some silicone? Cool to see the innovation (if you wanted to call it that) but I'm a bit surprised that's within the rulebook. So they are allowed to drill/tap new holes, weld on extra bracing, etc. but yet aren't they only allowed to "hand" polish the frame (no powered buffing tools) as to not remove too much material haha?

Nice catch. Bolting narrow will give more flex?
There is plenty of stuff going on that is a big grey zone, but since they all do it, nobody seems to care about it.
Isn’t the rule that you can add material, but not remove material? Drilling holes = removal of material.
The production rule is shit. The homologation rule is shit.

Drilling holes is removing material so frames should not be allowed. But since it’s ama and no one will do anything about it teams do all kinds of things with frames.
