I did an interview with Jimmy for you guys but unfortunately the recorder had lost the interview when I went to type it up today!
Nice guy, great attitude and tons of potential, he rode great in Holland on a brutal track, hopefully he can stay injury free this season. Top 10 in the series isn’t out of his reach, and I believe next season when he knows what to expect with the tracks and used to the different lifestyle he will be even better.
You guys should really get behind him as he flies the flag for the US (along with Osborne) in the GPs and especially at the US GP in a few weeks!
I spoke with Jimmy after first practice on Saturday and this is a brief synopsis of what he said from memory – so if anything is wrong Jimmy feel free to correct me!
Valli motorsports/ Last season
Essentially a full privateer Jimmy had just a mechanic with him last year en route to 10th in the series, he was always pitted way at the back of the pits and away from all the big teams but said he had a great time doing it and there was no pressure at all.
Jimmy essentially got fired from Valli after a falling out with the owner but has since reconciled with the owner and everything is fine again.
Martin Honda
This is the first of a two year deal, and Jimmy is getting on well with the whole team and they are not putting too much pressure on him. He said they were fine even after his results in Bulgaria and told him not to worry. In the US he reckoned he would have got yelled at! lol
Living away from the US
Jimmy said living is Italy was hard with the language barrier but has since moved to Belgium where English is more widely spoken. He is training with 2 time world champion John Van Den Berk and was riding in the sand leading up to Valkensward
US GP
He is very excited at performing in front of his home crowd and is looking for at least a top 5.
GP series/format
The level is similar to the US and the MX1 class is very deep making good starts crucial so that is his focus. He is looking to take each race as it comes and keep improving.
Really likes the two day format of the GPs but says the US 1 day style is good as well.

it Was Great 2 C albee ridin in Valkenswaard!!!
yep that is true but the points are pretty close down to 14th or so. But you are right he is right where he needs to be at this stage of the season, as long as he stays injury free he will be be hovering around there all year I think. The injury bug seems to be starting to strike again in the MX1 class this year
I meant to post this one earlier - the original berm got blown out lol
