If I knew where to send it I would send them a bag of sawdust. They could put it in an urn and worship it.

Thanks BobbyM, I needed a laugh today.
That last chic in the purple jacket was the kicker! "Sometimes I felt like I needed to scream and cry, and I need to...AAAAAHHHHHH!!" I think even one of her fellow tree-worshipers was laughing.

To me it looks like they are promoting themselves as more enlightened than the rest of us, making some kind of connection with plants that we all selfishly overlook?

This is gonna touch a few nerves but if these guys are soooo rightiously concerned about the "life" of a plant what about the "life" of a human being? Maybe they ought to be helping the forgotten homless, the abused innocent children, and the discarded unborn? I don't know? Which one is worth more in thier eyes? Just sayin.

Wouldn't it have been sweet if some dudes went ripping by and roosted them?

That would be a great ending to this video!!

maybe they should not drive cars, live in houses, use electricity, or anything then. isnt it ironic that the greenies buy a prius and use gallons of gas still, and a 1 cylinder dirt bike engine is the devil.

1:22 - "Bring me to this rock that has the most incredible life. That makes me feel alive"

Yeah, ok. Well the rock sure looked peaceful.

Unfortunately groups like these have no problem stringing wire across dirt bike trails. Better to decapitate a biker than an old growth tree, no?

I know I'm gonna get crapped on for saying this. I love motocross, but there's got to be a place for all points of view. If there wasn't there would be no national parks, trails, wildlife, etc.

Don't any of you guys like to get out into nature once and a while without making noise, like riding down a nice bit of singletrack on a mountain bike, or hiking?

If someone came into your yard and cut down an old tree you liked, wouldn't you be angry and sad? Ever feel bad when your dog or cat died? The kind of love people feel for pets isn't a whole lot different than the love some people might have for trees. Come on, just a little empathy would be nice. You all can't be so jaded with life that you can't accept differences between folks.

Hey, you and I are grown men and we love dirt bikes, right? Don't you think that would be at least as hard for non-motorcyclist to understand as it would be for them to understand someone who loved trees, which are living things, after all?

C'mon dewd, she said a rock had a nice life!!

Ummmmmm, like rocks aren't alive....

I appreciate the forests, animals, streams and fishing and all of it and I'm probably outdoors among nature more than your average humanoid but that is just some stupid stuff there.

And like my buddy Jamie says, "You can't fix stupid".

I think most would agree, I don't think anyone enjoys seeing the aftermath of clearcutting, but sitting in the forrest moaning and crying over trees is a little over the top, wouldn't you say?

It might seem over the top, but people do a lot of things that others can't understand. Some people would say that using the rosary to pray the Hail Mary over and over again is over the top. Or like when last week in St L. Villo nailed Dungey and I jumped off the couch screaming, my wife came running into the TV room and told me I was just a "little over the top" in my reaction to a "silly motocross race". You can't pass judgment on another person's emotional reaction to anything. You can, however pass judgment on their actions, if those actions negatively affect another person. These people in the video apparently aren't hurting anybody.

Personally, I would get angry and pissed if someone clearcut a place I like to hike, or birdwatch, or ride my mtb, instead of crying about it, but isn't the diversity of people's emotions and passions one of things that makes life interesting?

The video is a tad extreme, but logging of old growth rain forest is very sad and very wrong.
