I was thinking the same thing. It sounded like he had immediate surgery and depending on how bad it was the recovery time, we could be back for the Nationals. But again it depends on how bad it is.

My question is why is Kawi being so hush, hush about this? We all know he broke his tib/fib, so why not something about potential recovery time or how the surgery went?

How far away is the first national? Bones take time to heal and the outdoors are rough. I dont see him back on the bike in less than 8wks. I jus pray he is back by Southwick so I can see him

The press release I saw said broken tib/fib and possible broken ankle. First surgery is done and second surgery after swelling goes down. I don't think they will know anything untill the second surgery. I don't think they are being hush hush. I think they don't know anything yet as far as recovery time.

They might not be certain about the prognosis yet.
