You’ve heard it before because that’s our truth. I don’t have a policy argument that’s going to leave you satisfied. I don’t know how to call one thing better than another because I don’t know all the implications for any one of them. You don’t either. So, I’ll give you this to huff and puff at:

My beliefs align better with liberal policies than conservative. I’m for gun control, investing in greener energy sources (not drilling in Alaska, not running a pipeline through the country, not trying to bring back coal mining), tax-payer subsidized education and healthcare, getting along with other countries vs. threatening them and isolating ourselves, finding ways to spread corporate and individual wealth, not creating laws based on Christian ideas, and supporting LGBT rights and the right to abortion. I don’t care about the southern border. My life has never been negatively affected by an illegal immigrant.

Biden hasn’t made my life better. The absence of Trump in the Oval Office has.

Sounds like you're a typical new progressive and not a liberal. Very selfish and narcissistic.  You're life has never been negatively affected by an illegal immigrant...

Sounds like you're a typical new progressive and not a liberal. Very selfish and narcissistic.

You're life has never been negatively affected by an illegal immigrant, so since you have no problem then there is no problem.

You're for gun control, but also for the right to an abortion. The right to bear arms is specifically spelled out in its own amendment, and I believe it is the shortest amendment in the Constitution. However, the right to an abortion has to be weakly woven together piecemeal from multiple areas of the Constitution, and in each case with quite a bit of broad interpretation.

Taxpayer subsidized healthcare and education might be good things, if it were possible for anyone to figure out how to keep the bureaucracies out of them.

We already have a greener energy source. It's called Nuclear. If the climate change alarmists really cared they would have taken us down that path two decades ago, but it was never about greener energy. Tell me, just what exactly is the correct amount of CO2 in our atmosphere?

As a Biden supporter, you are supporting the Military Industrial complex as well as our corrupt agencies who have meddled in multiple countries and governments for decades. Unless I am wrong, didn't Trump avoid any new wars during his Presidency? Wasn't it a liberal Democrat President who dropped the most bombs during his presidency?

Why is your desire to spread the wealth of others not greed, but their wealth is greed? It sounds like you have never looked into how much our government has assisted in the acquired wealth of those corporations and individuals that I expect you are putting all the blame on. The most expensive places to live in the USA are Democrat strongholds. By a large majority, Democrats are elected representatives of the wealthiest districts in Congress. They want the Democrat saps who voted to think they support more equal wealth, but they actually want it more for themselves, even moreso than your despised Trump.

You say to not create laws based on Christian ideas, so I suppose you don't like that abolition was made law? What about Civil Rights? I doubt you are very disturbed by the actions and rhetoric of the Muslim Congress members. What about laws based on ideas of Judaism?

In summary, you have shown completely that you are an ill-informed egotist with a strong dislike for Christians, and have the typical hypocrisy of the left.

If I typed all that with less than two spelling errors I should get at least one thumbs up.

Edited for an Oxford comma.

Mr. Inflammable,

I seriously doubt he can comprehend any of that, but I could not have said it better.

Sincerely,

An ex democrat who pulled his head out of his ass over 15 years ago.

BBB, IRA, and CHIPS act did more increase manufacturing in the US than any republican president has done in my lifetime.

The economy hasn't crashed like I've been told it would, but it's not perfect by a longshot. Theres been many bullwhip effects from both printing money, and supply side constraints that have slowly been decreasing in their severity.

Raising interest rates has cooled the housing market to the point we are about to see some correction but unlike in '08 we probably won't see a disaster since there's alot more room to move on rates. Easing supply side constraints in material and labor would go a long way.

We should have done more to help Ukraine earlier stave off Russia and uphold the commitment we made to them in the 90s. Our partnerships with fellow liberal democracies is stronger now in the face of rising authoritarian alliances led by Russia, a new Cold War was overdue.

The immigration issue is a disaster. The bipartisan bill that was passed in the senate seemed like it was heading in the right direction but Mike johnson killed it at the request of Trump.

Race and social relations are a disaster for both sides.

Looks like they are going to reschedule cannabis, that's a crappy way to do it, should be unscheduled and regulated by the ATF.

I don’t think anyone loves any politician really,  but Biden’s legislative wins are easy to defend. MAGA cannot see anything through unbiased eyes whatsoever, so they will refuse to ever give him credit for anything. He’s not perfect. Nobody is. I don’t agree with him on everything. Nobody ever will.

Biden's legislative wins? How about a list with real numbers/impacts, and not the numbers the government puts out in support of these "wins".

And by MAGA bias, do you mean the bias from seeing what is actually going on in this country, and the cost of living, and rent or buying a home? How about the crime? How about the diplomatic disaster that is the Ukraine - Russia war? How about the growing trouble in the Middle East? Or Taiwan and China? How about the decay of the USA's most prestigious universities? The complete bias and failure of the mainstream media?

The bias, and blindness, is on your side.

If you are just getting by, money wise, and somehow you wages double, you’d feel great.

Then, when all of you expenses double and you’re barely getting by again, what have you gained?

I was in Kingston Jamaica several years ago for a few days. At one time, the Jamaican dollar was one to one with the US dollar.

I ate breakfast the first morning in the Hotel, and about fell out of my chair when they brought me my check. If memory serves, it was over $85,000!

I asked what that was US… about $12.50.

So other than needing a wheelbarrow for a wallet, where is the gain?

The world changes, it's been 47 years since the US and Jamaican dollars were at parity!

Dude, you have zero clue about economics as it clearly shows. Posting a damn chart doesn’t do jack squat. You need to be looking at other factors. Xom made me killer money when Biden decided to deplete our special reserves. You wonder why fuel and oil prices are up? Look no further than the actions of this administration. They tried to strong arm Saudi and got their pecker slapped and laughed at. The US were begging the Saudi’s to drop the crude oil price per barrel because of the yet again stupid decisions by had made. All in the name of optics. So when you spout off in here with your idiotic charts that are completely stretched I laugh my ass off. Do yourself a favor and start doing your own research. You may learn something

It’s very simple and people refuse to see the obvious because they refuse to give in and be incorrect. We are roughly at 5 proxy wars now. Fucking 5. With orange man we withdrew, had more energy independence, better economy, more gdp, manufacturing, immigration was under control. Biden has screwed this country from every angle. Anyone pay attention to Canada? They are doing the exact same thing just a little further along. Stupid people vote for more government. Government is not good, they do not help. They simply tax and take for themselves. Our funded education is a joke, in fact ANYTHING the government touches turns to shit with red tape, inefficiency, and always at the backs of tax payers. Why anyone believes the government is here to help you is high as a kite. People live in a tiny bubble and don’t look at ramifications down the road. My government should never tell me what to do or think.

Biden hasn’t made my life better. The absence of Trump in the Oval Office has.

If those are your beliefs, then I can see why you'd vote for Biden...those beliefs are ruining our country...and Biden is all about them...

Gun control?  Violates a constitutional right...but, you don't care much for the constitution I assume?  (So many who think like you don't...that's unfortunate).

Green energy?  So you want to cripple our economy with expensive, inefficient and unreliable energy sources which have no shot of replacing fossil fuels...

Tax payer subsidized education (we already have that, K-12...but I assume you're talking about college)?  Yeah, that would work, since the tax payer funded k-12 is the marvel of the entire world in its effectiveness and efficiency...why would you want to ruin college by allowing the government to take it over?

Getting along with other countries?  China, Russia, North Korea, Iran...yeah, they were a mess when Trump was in the white house?  Holy Smokes...America has never been worse off from a foreign policy perspective, and that's on Biden.  This isn't the local country club...its far better to be feared, than liked.

Spreading corporate and individual wealth is the perfect way to stifle growth and inhibit business creation, growth, and expansion...the only reason our country is what it is today is because it was built on the opposite of that.  American companies are the (most plentiful) greatest in the world because the entrepreneurs who started those companies didn't have a ceiling...put a ceiling on entrepreneurs (by "spreading their wealth around), and you will stifle growth, you will diminish ambition, and you will reduce business expansion, and you will significantly impact our economy in a negative way.

I don't' think Trump opposes equal rights to LGBT?

Abortion is murder...it should be outlawed...The woman makes a choice to have a baby when she chooses to have sex.  Don't want a baby? Don't have sex...her body, her choice.

You don't care about the southern border?  Are you most comfortable with your head in the sand?

Your positions (and the new progressive, liberal, whatever people) are unAmerican, naive, regressive, and have been proven to never work...So you go ahead and vote for biden...just know you are voting to regress America...(or, you could simply move to a socialist country...you honestly might be happier there.)

“If you don’t like it, go somewhere else” is lame. What you want America to be isn’t what America has to be, and you’re the one who seems to be unhappy with it right now.

Gun control: I don’t think you shouldn’t be allowed to own guns. I do think there’s room for improvement in how they’re currently acquired.

Green energy: We can do more to supplement fossil fuels. I disagree with the effort to jump straight from gas to electric. I wish more companies would build hybrid vehicles (cars, trucks, trains, planes, boats, etc.) Why can’t we have hybrid heating and A/C systems, and other appliances? I’m cool with nuclear, as I think both Trump and Biden are.

Education: California community colleges are free and awesome. Because of this, people use them, benefit from them, and continue to support them, so they get better. It can be done.

Global policies: I don’t want to be feared. I get that some people like that vibe. I just don’t, and usually don’t have much in common with people who do.

Wealth inequality: In 2023 Jeff Bezos pocketed 1 average American’s lifetime earnings ($1.7 million) every 13 minutes. Give him a trophy that says he won capitalism and let him keep 1, 10, or 100 billion dollars and then do some good with the rest. Raise taxes on trillion dollar companies. Then the average person can stop complaining about their own tax bill.

LGBT: Trans people have become a massively outsized target.

Abortion: You’re right. There comes a point where it definitely is murder. But there’s also a period of time where it’s not. I think that period ends when that fetus has a chance to live outside of a woman’s body using the latest and greatest of medical technology available. Right now I think that’s about 5 months. Three months, the first trimester, is a great cutoff with a huge buffer before viability. After that, the woman’s life should still get priority.

And lastly on that subject, you can’t be so ignorant as to believe every woman gets to choose every time she has sex. Please think about it for two seconds if you are.

Oh this is easy. All off the top of my head:

Capping insulin at 35 dollars a month. Allowing families to not be tied up in having to spend hundreds of dollars per month just to stay alive.

Allowing Medicare to negotiate prices with big pharmaceutical industries for the 10 most commonly used drugs in the nation, lowering costs for seniors and saving them thousands of dollars per year.

Along with that, capping the out of pocket maximum at 2 thousand dollars per year for people on Medicare. Again allowing them more financial freedom instead of paying thousands to stay alive.

Pulling out of the absolute shit show that was Afghanistan. He knew it would be messy. We all did. Bush, Obama, and Trump all had plans to leave, but realized how horrible the withdraw would be and how bad it would look on them personally, so they passed that responsibility onto the next guy. Biden did not.

Investing millions into our infrastructure that desperately needed rebuilding. This created thousands of high paying jobs in the workforce, some with a college degree and some without.

Chips and science act. Again investing millions into America where thousands more high paying jobs are being created. This also lessens our dependence on foreign nations for microchips and other technological necessities.

Has oversaw the best COVID recovery economically among the developed world and has oversaw the best inflation easing among the developed world. Lowest unemployment in decades and the stock market is at all time highs, along with great jobs reports and GDP growth. To what extent the POTUS is responsible for those things are of course debatable.

Was able to get legislation passed that ensured combat veterans exposed to toxic burn pits will be covered for any medical expenses they may incur due to the exposure.

Got some common sense gun safety regulation passed for the first time in decades, no doubt saving numerous lives.

Has stood tall against the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in his unjustified invasion in Ukraine. Giving Ukraine the necessary munitions to hold their ground and completely crippling the Russian war machine with less than 3% of our defense budget and 0 American lives put in danger. Something every Republican from Reagan till the MAGA era would be proud of. This again creates thousands of high paying jobs right here in the US, and additionally, we renew our military weaponry as we give Ukraine our older outdated equipment.

Stood with Israel and is coordinating a foreign policy plan the best he can to help innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict, while also giving Israel the aid they need to protect themselves against the terrorists all  around their borders. The US intervention in the Iran attack no doubt saved Israeli civilian lives and the aid to Palestine has no doubt saved Palestinian lives.

Banned NCAs, giving lower and middle class workers opportunities to prosper they otherwise would not have. In a similar light, salaried workers making under a certain annual income are now required to be paid overtime when they work more than 40 hours in the week.

Forced airliners to refund anyone whose flight is severely delayed, canceled, or their luggage is lost. Showing his support for the average every day American against huge corporations.

Stood tall with union workers, showing his commitment to the middle class against corporate greed. He is the first POTUS ever to stand with union workers and is statistically the most pro union president in decades.

I am sure I could find more if I wanted to spend a bit more time on it. He was able to accomplish all of these widely popular pieces of legislation with a small majority for his first two years and a split Congress the last two, and limited or no Republican support for most of the legislation that was passed into law.

This is not the Republican Party of Reagan or Bush. They are RINOs now. What MAGA refuses to realize is that it’s them who are the far right extremists with Trump at its head. Biden is the moderate left. Biden has lost support with the extremist left, and one of the things he will need to do to help himself get re-elected is to gain that support back. Trump is the extremist right. Trump has lost support with the moderate right, and one of the things he will need to do to help himself get elected is to gain that support back. That should tell you all you need to know.

Multiple Republican lawmakers who voted against these bills that got passed into law are trying to take credit for them, because they see how popular they are with their electorate. We see them at ribbon cutting ceremonies for groundbreaking projects that bring tons of jobs to the community. Democrats correctly call them out for it. You don’t have to love Biden or agree with him on every single issue. I don’t. Few do. To deny his legislative wins, however, is just being completely biased, blind, and refusing to acknowledge accomplishments of someone you didn’t vote for. The choice in November could not be more obvious.

You may want to dig further into your medical “win” as my wife is in health insurance at Humana as an executive. That absolutely was not a win, they now cap it at 2k but you get to pay it twice a year based on your out of pocket max turning into a percentage. In other words, drug companies are winning huge again.

I have said this a hundred time. You need to read into shit further. Don’t believe what they sell you as this clearly is all you do. Use your brain. Half of the crap you mentioned is literal dog shit pony show things. To say they passed meaningful legislation and make a spectacle of it.

nothing like saying they cap prices on drugs and “negotiated” with big pharma and being “tough” when they backdoor vaccines and tax you for it.

That soft landing crap you mentioned 😂😂😂😂 all companies are posting soft earnings that are down graded on purpose. Watch next earnings reports they will be out of the water good for Q 3&4 all by design to say “look at that economy! Democrats did that!” Yet, it’s all a farce.  Yellen keeps printing away like she is told to do and Powell has a noose around his neck because of it.

You have zero clue what you are even talking about and yet you sit under another name that you created because you’re a weasel who won’t own up to his crap. Notice a pattern yet?

4 downvotes is my guess

I like America as its always been...with the benefits that have made it what it is today...YOU want to change it to something it isn't....I am happy with America, I'm not happy with those trying to change it. If you want to change America to something its never been, and wasn't intended to be, just move to a country that is more to your liking.

Gun Control: "shall not be infringed" is a pretty black and white statement...restrictions have gone to far as it is...Guns aren't a problem in America...crazy people are a problem in America.

Green Energy: When you say fossil fuels, are you just talking about cars? Or are you talking about heating our homes and the plethora of other things we depend on fossil fuels for?   I'll support Nuclear as well...its the only viable solution.

Education: Do you agree that our K-12 education in America is great?  It's not.  And CA's community college education is watered down, and people get less out of it, because they are putting less into it (never mind that the high taxes CA has to charge to afford such programs are driving the productive people from the state).  The tax payers shouldn't carry the burden of paying for college, if someone wants college figure out how to pay for it...

Global Policies: The problem today is that we are neither feared, nor respected.  We are the laughing stock...Putin felt so emboldened that he invaded Ukraine...Iran is attacking Israel...china is prepping to attack Taiwan...North Korea is firing missiles over Japan again...None of this happened under Trump...because we were feared.

Wealth Inequality: The government does NEED any more of ANYONE'S money...they need to better manage the money they have, cut spending, pay down the deficit and then cut everyone's taxes even more. Once they have no debt and a budget surplus they can talk about all your pie in the sky social programs (as long as they don't have to raise taxes to pay for it). I will NEVER support raising taxes on ANYONE, ever.  This country has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.  You want more of rich peoples money, to pay for your security blanket social programs (free college, free healthcare, etc. etc.) and that's unamerican.  We are already taxed into oblivion in this country...taxed when we earn, taxed when we pay employees, taxed when we spend, taxed when we own, taxed when we sell, taxed when we die. Every dollar is taxed multiple times.  No, we don't need to tax anyone any more.  I could never support that.

LGBT: No group of people in America is catered to more than the LGBT group...

Abortion: When the heart starts beating, its murder.  According to the bald and golden eagle protection act, its punishable by a fine of up to $5000 and a year in prison to destroy or DISTURB unhatched eagle eggs (it is recognized that this is killing eagles)...yet, so many want to make it legal to stop the beating heart of a child.

I think in instances where the woman DIDN'T make a choice to have sex (rape) and becomes pregnant, she is still then entitled to the choice of whether to keep that baby.  But remember we are talking about an infinitesimally small percentage of abortions here.  Health of the mother would be another instance where I could support giving a woman a choice of keeping the baby or not.   And there is no inconsistency in my position...its illegal to go kill my neighbor, unless he is threatening my own life, then its justified...there are exceptions to even killing someone...and there is no inconsistency in a pro life position allowing for exceptions like Rape and health of the mother.

Gun control?  Violates a constitutional right...but, you don't care much for the constitution I assume?  (So many who think like you don't...that's unfortunate).

It's important for you to remember that the President is the Executive branch. Legislation comes from the Legislative branch, and the Presidential influence is variable.

The $35 insulin co-pay cap is a bipartisan legislative expansion of a Trump era executive order. It's also for Medicare D and some Medicare Advantage programs. It's not a $35 cost cap for everyone on insulin as you seem to imply. If you wanted to brag about something related to this it should have been the bipartisan effort to tie the price increases to inflation and fine companies for too large price increases.

Allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices, even for 10 drugs, was illegal until the Inflation Reduction Act. Another bipartisan effort here too, which doesn't take effect until 2026, so we have to wait 2 more years for more inflation reduction. Note that this doesn't limit what the pharmaceutical companies can make in profit, only what they can charge to Medicare recipients. It remains to be seen what effect this could have on those with private insurance, and if any of the losses will be made up in that area with price increases. If course, maybe that's the driving idea - work to drive up private insurance costs, then allow the public to complain, then expand Medicare, rinse and repeat. The $2000 cap generally falls under this umbrella too.

However, no effort is put forth by either side to emphasize government cost cutting by overall health improvement of the people. If someone doesn't smoke, drink, do drugs or live a higher risk lifestyle, then why should they have to bear any of the cost of those that do? Why does the government continue to emphasize poor eating and health habits, as well as flawed health hypotheses?

The Afghanistan withdrawal was a complete failure, with poor planning and execution by the Biden Administration. Almost as much of a failure as how the US government left Afghanistan high and dry after the proxy war with the Soviet Union.

I'm sure the money investment in infrastructure will help create jobs and fix aging infrastructure. Where and what I don't know, as I've yet to see anything impactful.

The CHIPS act might be a good move, but is mostly just federal subsidies for manufacturers. There also seems to be a shortfall of skilled workers in the US to fill jobs at any new facilities. Time will tell, but this can't be judged for at least a decade.

The COVID economic recovery is part good and part not so good. Did it help the economy recover faster? Possibly.

Did it cause more inflation? Absolutely. Jobs numbers continue to be revised to less impressive numbers, along with the increase in the uncounted (ex. After a few months of unemployment (6 I believe) someone who is still unemployed drops off the employable list). It's also important to remember the USA lost over 21 million jobs during the COVID shutdown. The job participation level is down under Biden, as well as adjusted wages. To me though, a lot of this blame rests on our entire government’s shoulders due to their incredibly poor handling of the COVID issue. I couldn't find anything on COVID affect on the stock market, but probably just didn't look hard enough.

The PACT Act was also bipartisan, but definitely needed.

The gun safety regulations were an empty, reactionary attempt to gain favor. Wonder why the liberals/ Democrats, and most Republicans, never want to focus on treating the mental health, societal, and economic issues that lead to gun violence first? Like modern medicine, it's more treat the symptoms and not the cause.

The Ukraine war is a failure of US diplomacy. The US government under Obama interfered with Ukraine's government, got their corrupt pro-Russian officials replaced with corrupt pro-US and NATO officials. Pressed the issue with Putin, then acted surprised that Russia would respond. You brag about how no American lives have been lost, but what about the 600,000+ Ukrainian lives lost in your beloved proxy war? Remember that when Russia took Crimea it did so with almost no resistance. Of course, now there is a bill where the US can send older equipment to Ukraine and replace it with newer equipment.

I guess you haven't noticed how Biden is losing support from the US Jewish community for how he is handling the Israel - Hamas war?

I do agree with the banning of Non-compete agreements, but there's probably a legal battle looming on this so we'll see how it goes.

The airlines one - it's nice but a win worthy of mentioning? Not sure about that.

So Biden is the first POTUS to stand with unions? Haven't heard of Obama or Carter? Biden mentions being pro-union a lot, but he's not considered popular with the rank and file union workers. He does seem to be popular with the union leaders and higher-ups though. Union labor makes up about 11.2% of the current US workforce.

Your assumptions about who supports Biden and who supports Trump are just that - assumptions.

Biden's legislative “wins” as you call them are mostly reactionary, with little to no hint of leadership.

According to recent polls, the choice in November is not obvious. RFK Jr seems to be pulling more votes away from Biden than Trump. Maybe that's why he's not getting Secret Service protection 🙂

If you bought low in 2020, you also owe Trump thanks too right? Since he was strong armed into the COVID shutdown that brought the prices down? I suppose you also owe Fauci thanks too. You know, for COVID 😁

Joe’s so awesome. He campaigned heavily these last 2 weeks while college campuses were in Chaos.

Then, as it was ending…when it was over…he sorta said something.

As another younger guy I have a legitimate question for you.  Do you believe that our government is virtuous?  Do you believe that by paying taxes you're contributing to the net benefit of society around the world as well as domestically?  Do you believe that they care about you and have our best interests at heart, as well as have a desire to utilize the resources we provide to them in such a way that maximizes the benefit for us?  Concise answers to these questions will help me understand what frame of reference you're viewing from and what your thought process is.

Oh, and everything brought to us by trucks.
edit: that wasn’t my downvote.

Capitalism at it's finest, Exxon profits while consumers suffer! If you lived in a socialist country gas prices wouldn't change!
