Minding my own bloody business at the gym today, steadily pounding out time on the

treadmill - when an advertisement comes on for the VQ Action Care Resistance Chair,

featuring Motocross champion MARTY SMITH hailing its benefits....

Anyhow, I got no problems with MARTY peddling some wacky TV fitness gizmo,

It just kinda pi$$es me off that Marty - at 50 - still looks 25.

Gots to get me one of them chairs.

The important question is.....is Rachel Ray still getting fatter and fatter?

Indeed. Rachel's buttocks are SO large they've arranged their own Twitter account.

Sorry Randy - wife has switched coffee brands on me and I can't seem to link up my

train of thought - with passing memories and google-earth, so I lose focus and

reminisce about the future with latent awkwardness and random queasiness.

Confusing myself into sanity.

Marty has done stranger things than that. Remember when he raced the 200cc Cagiva in Supercross?

I was always a fan of Marty Smith when I was a kid. I met him in person at the Pine Top, Rhode Island National back in '78 or '79. I begged my mother to get me one of those cool Team Honda jerseys to wear!
As far a Rachel Ray goes.........she's grown, but is still kinda hot in a twisted way Smile

Wow - I never knew there was a National in Rhode Island and, stranger than that -

that is was actually called Pine Top. You see, in that wonderful new video game MX-ATV

Reflex - there is a " PINE TOP" track (She's a beaut) - but it is located in Oregon.

However there are two RHODE ISLAND circuits in REFLEX - but they're both too

sandy and sketchy for my liking...

Pine Top was one of the 1st Nationals I ever went to. Im pretty sure it was in the town of Escoheag,RI. I think it was held for 2 or 3 years only. My dad took me and my buddy one year . If I recall correctly it was a bit sandy but not nearly as sandy as Southwick. I have some pictures from that race buried somewhere.

I mean look at that bike it looks sweet! I saw Marty yesterday at Horizon Offroad Park (East east San Diego county) and he was still killin' it! Really, his son Tyler has top 40 National speed. What was really crazy was they were both on 2010 Yamahas. Those things sounded nasty.

Pine Top was held once only in 1978 I believe,It was a pretty cool track,I raced a NESC race there once before the national but they added alot more track just for the national,If I remember right it was only sandy a little in the lower section and the rest was up and down through the hills in the woods.
The spectator turnout was pretty bad so I bet thats why there wasn't another national there. If I remember right the low turnout was because of the weather,It was a stormy day everywhere else but all the rain missed Escoheag.

Went to the Pine Top 125/500 national in 78 (believe it was first year Yamahas had aluminum swingarms and lots of guys were breaking chain guards) at age 14. It was a Mr. Pibb sponsored national and I believe the only national there. It was also a ski area (no ski mountains in RI). Have ridden mountain bikes there as its now part of state park (but overgrown with grass, but can still see some remnants of ski area equipment. Was in village of Escoheag (W Greenwich or Exeter is the town). Its right off Rte 165 as you cross in to RI from CT. Still remember my red and blue vented nylon HONDA jersey and the smell of Castrol R in the air. Great time, wish I still had the jersey and the Tshirt I bought that day.
