I wonder how much the 9 whoop rule helped  or hurt Kenny in this crash?  It was spectacular how well he got himself out of it. The way the bike is flipping beside him.  I never like to watch crash videos over, but there is so much going on in this one. Crazy stuff.

I really hope  he is OK.

Some amazing photos and video , that has got to be one of the most spectacular crashes in Supercross of all time.

It would be interesting to hear details about how it failed and see some photos of the shock, and it taken apart. That crash footage will be played over and over. And everybody and their brother will be speculating on the cause .  I think that being as open and honest about what went wrong as they can be , would be a great PR move. So people are able to sift through the speculation and find some details from the team.

I was just coming to say this.  He had to prefer hitting flat ground, and honestly, he almost made it through.  Amazing skill.

Did anyone else catch that he doubled (where Sexton crashed) right before blowing his shock out?

They both did it the first lap after not doing it all day, it was wild

Josh Hill did it in his heat*, then Justin Hill did it in the LCQ. I think Jett did it at least once in the main, but once he switched to the inside line to triple the wall jump into the whoops, he stopped.

*I thought I saw someone on a Husky do it in the background of a shot shortly after Josh did it. I don't think it was Mookie, though.

Dont forget 2 weeks earlier that RC was making comments in the booth about smoke coming from KR94 shock. Those were the warning signs and the team didnt get the hint.

Crazy that Ricky could pick that up from the booth but the tech that disassembles it and reassembles it every round didn't pick up on it lol

RC did say it was the shock leaking. It ended up it was the radiator leaking and it hurt the motor. With the triple crown series they are allowed to use a backup bike. Since there isn’t enough time to do motor swaps between rounds. KR used his backup bike the rest of the night.

RC was wrong it was not the shock. A shock typically isn’t going to slowly leak. The pressures are so high that if the seals or canister start to leak it goes quickly not little by little.
