I didn’t realize some gp racers race other series on their off weekends? I thought they used those are prep races pre season
Yeah many of the GP and EMX riders also do national races. As prep, but also because there is some money to be made.
Only thing that kind of sucks is that these races are scheduled at non-GP weekends, but since there are multiple championships you end up with a Dutch Masters where up to 4th place is lapped (since the other fast guys are in france/germany/italy/sweden etc)
Some others euro riders rode this sunday in Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden too!

Yeah, the off-weekend races pay way better!
Some of those guys make more cash running in the national series than they do racing MX2...
lol wut? I know mxgp doesn’t pay purse but I’d have to assume a 5-10 at a gp would have a higher bonus than a win at the Netherlands national series
Your assumption is wrong
there is start money involved for these races, also a sizable purse for a lot of invitationals on non GP weekends.
First round of British Championship this weekend, Herlings came to race, and had a good battle with Conrad Mewse.
I would normally have gone, but with Tommy Searle going 250, its a long way to go to watch the 2 best guys we have not race each other.
Shame cos its one of our best UK tracks, Lyng.
Interesting that Jeffery took the time and trouble to travel across the channel for an off-weekend race when there were a couple in NL the same day.
I guess the start $$$ must have been tempting enough to merit the travel?

Yes, he gets paid well to attend, no issue with that.
Local ex racer sponsors that round heavily and he did some promo stuff for them too.
Weather was awful, so that cost them on the gate sadly.
Mate, do you happen to WATCH all those races on livestream links? Any place where I can get all of the european broadcast? I follow Autocross and all the national championships have been putting out livestreams links for the races. Im having such a blast! Does the same happen with MX? Cheers

I would really like to see Nagl do a couple of GPs or AMA national races, he is still to this day so fast!
I think he is at his fastest now since he retired from MXGP. Obviously having a lighter schedule just helps him being fresh every round and also his knee is way better now. So far he dominated every round except for this weekend and I still think he would be a top 10 guy in MXGP.
What’s going on with Toendel in those races? In the GPs he is doing pretty good but at those races he’s been pretty disappointing.
