I nominate mammoth as the replacement track, they already have the parking situation sorted out with the remote parking and shuttles, plenty of lodging, there is a history to that track that predates almost all tracks currently on the circuit and it is located close enough for northern or southern california fans....

Almost zero facilties and huge access problems. Beautiful track though. That's the constant tension these days; having an excellent track that's available (not sure Mammoth's permit with the feds) would allow a national, accessible, and has backing for improvements necessary for a once a year event.

That's a bit of what killed Plymouth at the old Hangtown track. Awesome track though.

Mammoth does not have the Infrastructure to hold a National. They really only race there on a 2 week basis in June.

Also it is on Forest service land and they would be hard pressed to give a permit.

There are a lot of valid points already stated, I can tell you from what I know of the Motocross office, there is no desire to have a National there. You couldn't pay Mammoth enough to hold a National there.

The replacement race will be in SoCal. Didn't you guys read the other 22 threads?

there are way more reason then just being to remote.

Beautiful track, love seeing the videos of the guys running through the trees. Only problems I see was be access and facilities. I got a feeling this race is gonna end up a Pala Sad

Hard track to get to, parking would be a pain.

Milestone wouldn't be to bad. I see PALA Raceway being the best replacement at the moment.

Rusty Gregory does not want a national at Mammoth.. he wants people to buy his 89 dollar lift tickets.

Milestone is not even close to worthy of hosting a National..

And Pala would be awesome, but they need to get the ball rolling now, the place has port-o-john's and a roach coach for food...

I'd love to see the traffic on highway 76 with all of the rigs and fans coming to and from Pala for a national. Laughing

Competitive Edge has a good layout to make a big national track.

Glen Helen was motocross..It has hills, off cambers, and it got rough.......I don't think there is another track anywhere close to So Cal that can match that,,,,,Hollister back in the day was good.(Nor Cal) Most of the tracks here are flat, wide open ,and SX'd out....They should go to Reef Ridge and stake out a track like they did back in the day for a Golden State race......It was killer till the rains came.......

i think Pala could probably put together a solid track, their pro track is already good, just needs to be a bit longer. the bigger issue is the logistics. it would take 6 hours to get from the 15 to Pala with all the traffic on the 76. absolute nightmare!!

Tracks that are difficult to get in an out of:

Binghampton
Mt. Morris
Steel City
Hangtown
Glen Helen
Budds Creek
Millville

They all suck to get in and out of. Thats what happens when 30K people show up. Welcome to motocross.
