Piss poor excuse.
The guys at the front. You know the ones that actually win championships? The Roczen's, Tomac's, Ferrandis's, and Webb's of the world don't have to clean everyone and their grandma out to win.
No
Oh, so you haven't.
Are you saying that Barcia will miss a meal if he doesn’t punt other riders off the track?

No, I am not saying that. I asked a question. Maybe it should have been a separate thread (a separate poll). Just if those opposed to aggressive riding(racing) have ever raced for money (to pay their way to the next race).
That would be like if I burned someone's house down so I could build them a new one. I'm not doing my job correctly if I need to do that.
Anyone that needs money for the next race can contact me for a job.
I’ve raced on and off for almost 40 years, never for money. I’ve also worked for over 40 years and I’ve got a deep hatred for coworkers who try to get ahead by sabotaging the work of others. And that’s what intentional takeout moves look like to me, it’s an admission that a guy can’t win by ability so he resorts to backstabbing his coworkers. JMO..
My question is being taken out of context. I was asking about aggressive riding. Right there with you guys if you are talking about putting sugar in someone's gas tank, turning their competitor's petcock off (read about that one recently), or paying someone to alter the outcome of a race (also recent), even cross jumping or straight trying to break someone's leg. Next time I'll define aggressive riding vs blatantly trying to put someone in the hospital or end their life. Obviously the wrong thread to ask the question since you are referring to specific incidents that Barcia has been involved in.
I'll go ahead and agree I'm the asshole that sometimes enjoys a good lift of someone's elbow to run them off the track or taking their front wheel out in a turn, or (one of my favorites, only able to do it once and we laughed about it after the heat) falling over on someone trying to pass you from the inside.
Happy Holidays! May all your moto wishes be granted!
Didn’t want to point at you directly, apologies for making it seem like a personal attack. I’m talking about guys like Barcia.
I’m totally good with aggressive riding, even some contact is okay if it’s not a takeout. To me, the line is drawn when aggressive turns into intentionally putting a guy on the ground in order to make a pass. And that’s a judgment call, was it intentional or not? With Barcia and some others, their history usually answers that question.. Pros shouldn’t be taking other pros out of work, it’s not professional behavior and it ruins the racing for fans when riders miss races.
I can’t remember the year or race, but the time Barcia flat torpedoed a lapped privateer in an LCQ was where he lost me for good. But I’m sure he DGAF what I think..
I wasn’t a huge fan because of his bone head moves but after watching his YouTube stuff I have to respect a guy that is so goofy but takes his job so seriously.
His riding is full send no Fs given. But then total dork when he’s clocked out. Or at least he’s good at making it look that way. 🤷🏼♂️
Down votes.... Roughly 800 people that voted think it's a viable question.
I didn’t clarify that my post was in response to his recent interview on Vital. People probably thought this was out of the blue.
Neither of these is a good option -- MX/SX doesn't need Barcia nor is it better without him.
I think you're asking if the sport needs a racer with his attitude and history of minor conflicts and if the sport would be better without that approach to racing.
IMO the attitude and approach Barcia has and uses is inherent, in particular when these racers are young. When they race into their 20's and beyond many become men/adults, they evaluate and plan their career accordingly, become professionals in every way, not just paid athletes, but professionals.
IMO Barcia never made that jump. He still races like he is 14.
I do think rubbing is racing and enjoy the hard passes and etc however Barcia will make an aggressive move for the sake of an aggressive move, even if it hinders or takes him out of the race.
He will never be a champion.
Agreed. You cannot win championships by making enemies every time you line up to race. Although it is entertaining to watch Barcia do Barcia things, I have a feeling his career would have had a lot more wins if he rode clean.
Elite level racer?!??!? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 He’s barley an “also ran”. Unless you consider A1 years ago. Maybe a solid “has been” at best.
This guy gets it!
You bump a more than year old thread that you started....
.
Sorry bro, you're not going to distract people away from your "#3 will never win again" shit the bed thread.

I would of liked to see the results of this Poll, had it been Tomac that Barcia T-boned like that.
I’ve been actively replying in it. Took the L. No worries 👍🏻
I'll be sad to see him go. I wanna see him on a works 350 with 52mm forks.
Barcia has won 6 SX races out of well over 100 starts. As you can see from this glaring stat he very seldom wins races, so to think he'll go on a tear - unless it's the odd podium - is ridiculous.
Agreed. Apart from RJ and Hannah, you don't hear any elite racers advocating for dirty riding. Not only is it dishonorable and indicates you can't win by pure speed, it's also a suboptimal strategy. If you don't take yourself down you make enemies on the track. Apart from Anderson in 2018, dirty riders don't win championships.
How about these people racing for 'money' got faster rather than focusing on taking other people out. I don't understand why people say motocross/supercross are contact sports. Any contact is supposed to be incidental and brief. Rugby is a contact sport, American football is a contact sport, boxing is a contact sport. The contact is an inherent part of the game.
This poll is a few years old…. Jett made a mistake. I hope he’s ok and can continue racing.
😂😂 So you don’t think a racer getting top 10’s in 450 supercross is an elite rider? He also won a main event last year with 8 top 5’s throughout the season... You casuals crack me up 😂😂😂
You can call him elite if you like. I’ll keep calling him an also ran. He used to ride with vigor, now he rides like he didn’t care what place he gets. Remember this is motocross. You’re only as good as your last race. Top 10s elite?? 😂. Not only did he call him elite he said of the highest order 😂😂. Yeah - NO. You fan bois crack me up
😂… Yes finishing top 10 in 450 Supercross makes you elite. How do you not understand that? Especially with a win and 8 top 5’s last year. Come on man do better 🤦♂️.
mannnnn look for those tht ain’t seen it yet , Jett & bam talked bout it after the race , they’re good , errybody can move on now
