1984 YZ 250 and I'm looking for side plates and front number plate. Not a fan of DC plastics and stock is way to expensive.

Your kind of in the middle as your bikes not new enough for current stuff but not old enough for vintage, as the vintage stuff is out there. There is a company that advertises in VMX magazine. I'll look tonight.
Try Maier manufacturing. They cover a lot of years.

With the exception of Nightmare racing's KX plastic, all the aftermarket vintage plastic looks bad. I would bite the bullet and get OEM stuff if it's still available. Apache sells most OEM parts for 30%+ off retail. Yamaha of Texas matches their prices for me.

mb60,
the company I was thinking of is vintageplastic.com.au
I didn't realize they were in Australia but they do cover 84's

CamP, your right on the vintage plastics, however there is a guy, name alludes me, making awesome stuff for the late 70's YZ's. I bought a front fender and it is as good as oem

Does this place still exsist ?? Tried calling them and emailed but no luck.
Not sure. I have never bought anything from them, but the stuff looks really nice.

I have emailed them in the past with good results. Trying to get them to make stuff for my 80-81 Yz's.

I dig that front number plate!

No, I don't think so. I ordered a number plate in September '09 and never heard anything from them. I emailed them several times and left messages on their answering machine, but they never said a word. It's a shame.
