I skipped to this last page but looks like WT covered the bases from my standpoint. I do understand the desire to race LL but if you qualify for an age "vet" class you already missed the boat. Loretta's should be for youth racers only.

As long as it's a money grab there should be a specific "pro only" class whether you made mains and/or earned national points or not.

Okay got it. So basically, let’s get rid of the C classes entirely is what you’re saying. Because, by your reasoning it’s the best of the best right? C classes take away from the prestige of Loretta’s. Let’s get rid of the 50, 65, and 85 jr classes while we are at it to make make them just open 50 65 and 85 because it’s the best of the best right? Screw all them kids. Also, might as well get rid of the sportsman rule for the vet classes too and let all pros in regardless of how many points they have scored and championships won because hey, it’s the best of the best right?

Again, I never said any of that, you did.  Stop putting words in other peoples mouth out of desperation to prove your point.

Loretta Lynns is for the cream of the crop in each class to be able to race the best of the best.

I'm sorry that you are too slow to qualify, the answer is in your right hand.  If you wanna go so bad, man up and twist the grip instead of trying to get more classes added.

Make LL's more inclusive!

LL's DEI team is being assembled as we speak.

National Champion of the "nobody faster than me allowed" class. No points scored sounds like a pretty good cutoff to me. If you're worried it's excluding you, then what about the guy who scraped his way to barely earning a pro card, then signs up just to check a box, never to enter a pro race again. Is he supposed to be banished from racing as well?

99% of the guys who wanted a pro card can qualify for LL in the current classes. If you wanna play the “nO oNe fAsTeR thAn mE In tHe cLAss” game, open the vet classes up to all vet riders even if they have scored points and made Supercross mains. Watch the complaining go through the roof from Current LL vets

Fine by me! I'd be stoked if I qualified to race against an ex pro

I would b to in 95 or 99. Today he,s another guy on a bike. Which has a lot of special stuff. I think the big am race in Quebec is cooler.  They hv 40a,b & 50+.  The premix 125 class has a rider racing that & 250 pro & gets a 6th in 250 pro am motos.  Any class there is has something.  The 125 class is a lot faster than the vets.  Check the lap times. If you can run a top 10 that’s really something.

Yeah at Glen Helen. Problem is most vet riders aren’t going to make that drive out there. Needs to be a central location like LL

Since you are so into arguing the semantics of Loretta Lynns....it's not centrally located, it's East Coast biased.

It's over 2,000 miles from my house to LL.  It's around 2,500 miles from Seattle to LL.

It would be centrally located if it were in Kansas, Nebraska or Oklahoma.

Should we start a protest to get it moved so it's more fair for the West Coast folks while we are protesting to add classes so that anyone over 30 with a dirt bike can qualify?

Edited* I'm a dumb dumb and thought it was in Eastern Time Zone.

I can agree with that for sure man. Good points

Its just a matter of time at this point. They already got busted in recent years using a pedophile flagger. Unfortunately for the sport going woke is the only way MXSports is going broke

It's in the Central Time Zone. I live about 40 miles away and have qualified several times in the past.

So you’re cool with 6 C classes at LL? Just asking. Because I’m not trying to argue for LL being inclusive. I’m saying we don’t have a well rounded list of classes that make sense.

we have 450 C, 250 C, 250 C limited, 125 C, 250 C jr limited, 125 schoolboy b/c. Why?? Why not cut out two of those C classes? 450 C and 250 C could be done away with because in theory C riders don’t need to be on 450s or on mod bikes. Fill those two open slots with a couple Vet classes. Do you know what I’m saying here? I just don’t understand it

I believe the amount of classes should be cut in half at least. Age groups for minis, schoolboy, A and B classes for big bikes, women’s, and maybe a couple vet classes with no limitations based on their pro career.

Schoolboy should eliminate the C classes all together.

So you think that 5 classes for C class is too many but you want to add more Vet classes?

There are already 5 Vet classes.

Why is 5 to many for C but not enough for Vet?

I went through there the morning of the massive flood.  Xmas track a long haul way up in the ne of the UP of Mi. Has a local that is real fast he went 2-2 in 50a & red Bud. Always a fast guy everywhere. Track  is awesome riders from iL. Race there.  Canada has a good system east & west with a shoot out.  And tracks r awesome.

I understand you have different opinions and way of looking at this. Our community is not great at making decisions that are good overall. Case in point, there is 6 C classes (I forgot they don’t have 450 C mod anymore and I thought they had 125 C Jr too). But still, 6 C classes?? There use to the 2-3 and that was it. I think, at least 2 C classes need to be dropped and replaced with 2 vet classes. Just what I think

Another cool event. Southwick has a vet race to, I found it lastnight.  We hv a winter storm hitting tonight. The Ll qualifiers r in freezing weather, no thx.  I like the humid weather. That hits in late June .  District 16 Wi. & the UP has Great tracks, easy traveling , cheaper practice & race fees than other states. You could maybe race 7 yrs to 1 LL.

There are 5 C classes not 6. 125 B/C is all B riders, so is Schoolboy.

One benefit of having multiple C classes that nobody talks about is the move up rule. Every rider in the C class has never qualified for LL before. Once that qualify they automatically have to move up to the B class the next year. Doesn't matter if they win or finish 42nd.

lol oh you’re so right dude. I want what would basically be the equivalent of Vet A class added. That will be so much easier. I literally know the guy who literally got a top 3 in a moto in Vet 30 sportsman and has never held a pro card so he could actually run Vet 30 amateur like I’m suggesting. But yeah, it’ll be so much easier. No fast guys will be in the class

I'm definitely confused... you have literally been saying all along that you want more Vet classes that don't allow any former Pros.  Then you literally agreed with a post that said "maybe a couple vet classes with no limitations based on their pro career."

So yeah...maybe you're confused about what "no limitations" means?

Doesn’t matter to me if they were once pro or not. If they aren’t currently a pro, then I see no problem with it. We line up with ex pros at local amateur races all the time. What’s the difference?

At all Local Races "A" class is the pro class or more practically, pro/expert combined. Some amateur nationals ban pros from A class. Lorettas had the concept of Prosport, where pros could race but then weren't allowed in A class. I haven't been following the Lorettas rules for years. Do they still have prosport? Can active AMA pros race the regular A class? I'm talking non-vet here.
