I put my money on the moto Karen’s and mini dads. They crazy for sure bro
Ride faster.
Dang bro. You’re so right. Gosh if only I was as thoughtful and able to provide such well versed insight like you. You’re right, we should definitely piss on the slower guys, screw them right? They shouldn’t even be allowed to ride dirt bikes. They should have thought about their crappy life choices and lack of talent. I bet you’re the same dick head at your local track making fun of the guys just learning how to ride
Simmer down bud....nobody said any of that except you.
Loretta Lynn's is not an event that every knuckle head with a dirt bike should be able to qualify for. It's the premier Amateur event in the country and probably the world....if we made classes so that every plumber with a dirt bike could qualify like you're wanting, it would lose that prestige.

Key word “Amateur”
98 Byron was a great but busy jumpy track ripping through the trees. All the trees r gone . Eron Ezerins in 98 told me he made 4,800 one week . Friday night lake Geneva then Byron on Sunday with full gates. Chicago Land shops matching contingencies, etc. All those riders r in there 50,s now & still fast.
Serious amateur racing families where the parents are Deadheads...
That's not Castor 927 and MRX02 you smell burning...
Heers an idea. Drop all the vet 25plus and up from the kids week. Have a total vet race the next week with 25 plus A B C all the way to Plus 70!
Isn't there already a Vet Amateur Nationals?
Okay got it. So basically, let’s get rid of the C classes entirely is what you’re saying. Because, by your reasoning it’s the best of the best right? C classes take away from the prestige of Loretta’s. Let’s get rid of the 50, 65, and 85 jr classes while we are at it to make make them just open 50 65 and 85 because it’s the best of the best right? Screw all them kids. Also, might as well get rid of the sportsman rule for the vet classes too and let all pros in regardless of how many points they have scored and championships won because hey, it’s the best of the best right?
National Champion of the "nobody faster than me allowed" class. No points scored sounds like a pretty good cutoff to me. If you're worried it's excluding you, then what about the guy who scraped his way to barely earning a pro card, then signs up just to check a box, never to enter a pro race again. Is he supposed to be banished from racing as well?
Yeah at Glen Helen. Problem is most vet riders aren’t going to make that drive out there. Needs to be a central location like LL
Not a true parallel, but food for thought.
The VMXdN at Foxhill is, imo, the best event in the UK. Loads of great bikes, loads of great riders, loads of good riders, just an awesome event all around.
The level of competition is solid, even in the less fiercely competed classes with no/fewer pro/ex-pro riders. The track gets pretty savage as well.
So... I can't race it. If I want to race it, I need to put in more work, up my skill, up my speed, and then I'd be able to race it (relatively) comfortably. That's the reality.
At no point has "they should make another class for me" entered my mind.
I love the event the way it is, I just know I need to go and watch and go riding elsewhere the weekend before/after.
30+ class without anyone who has ever earned a pro card should be how it is
I would imagine a road trip to GH comes in well under the time and money spent to get to LL.
99% of the guys who wanted a pro card can qualify for LL in the current classes. If you wanna play the “nO oNe fAsTeR thAn mE In tHe cLAss” game, open the vet classes up to all vet riders even if they have scored points and made Supercross mains. Watch the complaining go through the roof from Current LL vets
Point here is. You can’t call in an “amateur national” if it’s dominated by ex pros. Those dudes still haul balls
Pit Row
But wait you said "Vet riders spend a crap ton of money and will show up if there is a class for them to race" ??
I dont care either way but a few years ago when they changed it the guys that said get faster were crying. So they changed it back before the qualifiers. Seems like those guys didn't want to live by their advise and race +25.
Canada has 2 am National title races. Deschambault in Quebec and Walton. If you race the premix 125 class @ the nationals . And race the 125 class in your home state . Your considered a 125 World Champion. The world Championship winner is declared by the Canadian races. If you race a 125 in more than 1 state. The points go toward Super motocross 125 World Championship double points fund. The doubled up points pay 10,000 a point. I,m not sure if you heard about this exciting series but it sounds Real Neato.
Bingo!

They do. Again you’re missing what I’m trying to say. Guys from the east coast by and large aren’t going to drive to California for world Vets and would rather race LL. World vet does not have the same atmosphere as the Ranch
Exactly. They did the same thing last year or maybe it was 2022 when MXsports changes Vet 30 back to B/C like it used to be. Those guys threw an absolute fit over it because the wouldn’t be allowed to race and got it changed back to sportsman.
Fine by me! I'd be stoked if I qualified to race against an ex pro
Thats what I was talking about. I thought It was more than vet30 not sure though.
What is even more screwed up is they changed +45 Sportsman to +40 Sportsman for 1 year and then back.
You’ll notice there’s a pattern. It depends on what guys want to race that year and what class who have industry connections
Shocking to me that any vets even want to participate in Loretta's. What a money grab: do your qualifier, regional, pay huge fees to practice and so on and on. Now you're in it $10k to go to a kids camp.
Seriously, you have two weeks vacation a year and you want to spend one of them sweating your balls off in a humid valley without cell service for a full week so you can get in 3-6 15 minute motos. Its a glorified kids camp and they add vet, novice, and other goof off classes to max out their revenues.
Now you want to add more vet classes. They are already at what, 65 classes total? So bump that up to 70 and you can race even deeper into evening darkness.
Events like Glen Helen world vet are a much better option than the Loretta Lynns clown show.
All valid points
