something that's not spoken of.. it also took how many years for Ricky to find his feet in supercross? outdoors he was amazing.. But its not liked he stepped into the premier class and dominated in supercross like others had.

But your also comparing established 450 riders in their prime against a 20 year old rookie..

Lets have this discussion in 5 years time when Jett is in his prime..

regardless.. over a championship series.. RV2 is wining it.

Stew was fast.. But crashing wouldn't be an option if all these greats lined up for a championship.

Jetts prime is now until hes 25.. because i personally wonder if hes going to pull a rv/dun and retire at 26/27..I also hope to see jett racing well into his 30s

The answer to this question is always Ricky Carmichael. At 22 he dethroned the 30-year-old King of Supercross. At 27 he beat 22 year old James Stewart five times in a row on his walk-off motocross tour. Between those years (2001 SX through - 2007 MX he won 5 Supercross championships and 5 Motocross championships, two with perfect seasons. He was injured for the SX and MX championship he didn’t win during that period. He was a vicious competitor and would have stepped up to beat anyone else from any time period.

RV certainly found ways to win titles.  It’s interesting to look at his stats because he won relatively few races for his titles.  For example he has two outdoor 450 titles but only 12 overalls.

Now think about Reed(prime) vs RC outdoors.

An interesting measure of RC vs RV

A lot of people would consider 2011/early 2012 Reed's prime.

Nah, early to mid 2000’s on YZ250.  Move RC’s career forward ten years and Reedy would have two more SX titles and at least one more MX title; conversely you would take away most of RV and RD titles and give them to RC.

Gosh! I just noticed, what an insult to Bob Hannah.  I added Vince Friese as a joke, but I didn't think anyone would actually vote for him. When I first noticed he got a vote, I laughed because I thought maybe Vince Friese was a Vitalmx member, but now he has 19 votes, so I guess the jokes on me. I should have removed him from that poll, but maybe the whole MotoConcepts team got on here and started voting for Vince.

Those two also went the aldon way, which is short career with a bunch of titles, some burnout , and retirement.  But, set for life.

I have zero reference point to how jett trains,  but that, plus at what age he decides to have a family will play a role,

Do you think maybe it might be because people think the poll is a joke…kinda of like a double downvote…

Well! maybe the 21 who voted for Vince out of the close to 200 who actually participated, yes maybe they do think the poll is a joke.
