It's been a family (French) owned business for quite some time and my guess is they don't need the money. I suppose maybe they sold to someone, but I don't know. What I do know is that the CEO is not a moto guy, actually came from the world of stationary. Like as in the paper that people used to write stuff on. I also know that they recently hired a female GM for NA that came from Harley, but she also isnt someone that could seemingly get much traction with the back of the shop. The US business for Motul is basically non-existent, wouldn't surprise me if they sold off that side of the business for someone else to manage.
dammit, hope they dont change to much i really like there oils.
Motul is almost universally gooood stuff, I've never used a bad Motul product and I know a lot of other people have had the same experience.
True or not I hope they keep doing what they're doing.
For sure, Motul is a good product.
And Desertratlife just gave me a great topic for Grammar with Falcon. ;-)

If this is true, I hope they keep their formulas the same and/or keep improving as they have been over the years.
I use Motul products for my car. They offer really good products for performance automotive applications. I’m sure they have great products for motorcycles, too
wall street buy outs suck
I still use Motul800 for my '05 RM250. May need to stock up in case they quit making it.
