I've heard/read ten times during the weekend that was the last time we'll get to watch MXGP race on that beautiful track in Argentina... without a word of explanation.
I guess the track is gonna disappear, but does anybody know why? Weariness? Eco pressure? Lack of local support? The argentine economy collapse?
I'm a bit surprised, Crazy Javier seems like the kind of guy who'd like loud engines rippin the ground in the forest...

New land owner, building houses apparently.
The race is EXTREMELY popular with tourists and all the local businesses, but that land is gonna get used for houses so we will go to a new place
They are building on it.. seems an odd place to build, but if i remember rightly , the whole area was trees to start with, so they cleared it to make a track, and now 8 years on they are going to build on it, which as long as there is anothet track built elsewhere, it means you get to recoup your track build cost out of the sale of the land.
As long as the circle keeps on going, its all good.
Shame as its a great track, but the next one may be better.
Sad we never had a MXdN there, it was a perfect track and place to host such an event, I hope it sucesor can be as good as Neuquen
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Its a rave to get to, way to far for most fans to contemplate. Hardcore few will make it, but it really is a slog , 24 hrs each way.
Thanks for the info!
That's one helluva nice aera, wether to race or have a holiday house, that's for sure...
I'm sure few riders will regret this track, sketchy as it looks.
