solid dude, class act
That would be soo hard to hold your cool. Props to the lad.
I know Deegan is getting a ton of shit tonight and I hate to bring him up again in a thread about Anstie, but hear me out. Compare Max’s interview and his reaction to his bike letting go while holding the red plate tonight to Deegan’s reaction last summer when he drop kicked his own bike after he blew it up.
One is also 30 and the other was 17. I will give the 17 year a little bit of a break for his actions last summer. When you are that young and in the title hunt and your bike fails you would be frustrated.
That said, he hasn't improved his attitude since then.

Max didn’t throw his team under the bus either. Just owned it and showed class. Respect.
17 is not too young to know better.
He is 18. I had friends fighting in wars at 18 he isn’t a kid. Stop making excuses for poor behavior.
I bet he misses that Suzuki he talked all that shit about right about now.
That's what I'd expect from a grown-ass man. He handled his business, well done!
I thought it was his wife that posted something about Suzuki?
Tonight was a professional interview by Max.
Did I say he didn't know better? No, I simply said he let his emotions get the better of him in the moment and at 17 I'm willing to give him more of a break. He is a spoiled brat and his actions have showed that since that instance, several times last night, but I would still give the kid a break for throwing his bike when he was mad.
Who here would have done the same thing at 17? I probably would have, I had a big attitutude problem at 17-20. I knew better, I know to respect my stuff, but I still probably would have done the same thing in the circumstance. I'm willing to bet at least 50% of Vitalians would do the same thing in the same situation at 17 years old.
This is all I'm getting at. I don't like Deegan, not even a little, but I'm not going to burn him at the stake for throwing his bike in the moment at 17 years old.
That's what i expect from a PRO, regardless of the age!
If i would be in for a new bike it would not be a Yamaha!
As the senior guy in the 250 class, I thought Max showed all the kids in the class how to handle adversity. He was biting his tongue, though, to be fair—-hard to blame him!
Not to mention he’s a professional and has an obligation to represent his manufacturer, team and sponsors in a positive manner at all times.
One's 30 the other 18. I don't know about others, but I was a "Saint" at 18 and that was without being a motocross phenom. People handle pressure differently and don't fool yourself that he's not under a huge amount of pressure. Considering his surroundings I almost expect these meltdowns, don't like it, but understand it.
P.s. 250 needs an age limit! Love Max, RJ, JMart... but time to move up.
He's always super honest, glad it wasn't an electrical issue lol, parts fail, no big deal. Max is all class.
Absolutely right, I assume Max may have down talked the Zook privately, but he never did publicly, it was his Mrs that spilled the beans in a social media rant.
Max is a good, genuine bloke.
I’d go as far as to say…
He’s a Gentleman.
