The left has voted and moaned this type of behavior into common everyday existence. Change my mind.

My local news is reporting they're pursuing "The Goggle Guy" on 95N mile marker 207 (around Ponte Vedra exit). This is getting like the OJ deal! Stay tuned goggle posse...updates when available!

I’ve done some reflecting and listened to people’s different opinions. I think I overreacted. It’s not that big of a deal.

His names Pablo de oliveira. He’s a dbag. He said “if I knew this was going to be the response I would have taken his jersey too”

Good work Rip...keep monitoring his site! Right now he's mobile and approaching the Georgia state line...

Update: Looks like the dbag got Richard Petty's hat from the Daytona museum too! I hope he realizes Florida has the death penalty!

If I could get the government to send me a check for the years I don't, I'd feel equal to the illegals.

So, it's okay to steal from riders if it is something small like goggles?

Exactly,  technically theft by force is a robbery in certain states.       Theft isnt cool or right. $5 or 5k

Check out the only interview Jackie did on the Johnny Carson show. The man was a treasure! RIP

When I saw him with his Jersey off I thought that the crowd had ripped it off him. But then he put it back on.  The crowd seemed wild. While I do not think that it was great that somebody may have stolen his Goggles. I do think that there are some over reactions on here.

I would like to hear what Jett has to say about it.

To me it looked like they stole them. But hard to tell for sure from the video.  I don't think its worth ruining anybody's life over. But it was very disrespectful if  Jett did not give them the OK. And I think it should be discouraged at the least.

With riders tossing goggles to fans often, and some fans feeling like they are owed something. I could see if this was a misunderstanding to a degree ,on the part of the fan who grabbed the goggles off Jett. And again I would like to see what Jett says.

Classic-Trans-Am-in-Smokey-and-the-Bandit-.jpg?VersionId=ZLCqTd qlPsJDRSyIf you see this car don't approach! The "Goggle Guy" is feeling the heat. Ripper69 keep monitoring his website. We suspect he's getting assistance as he has made it to i-20 and is headed west towards Birmingham. He may strike again!

talking about potential theft in the pits. I've always been surprised that a single actor or a group of thugs has never tried to forcefully make off with a race bike.

A friend asked me the same thing at a practice track.... I told him the thief wouldn't get too far, almost every track I have gone to I know somebody there (the racing community is small), I recognise bikes and riders even if I don't know their names. Literally, one time after practice my suspension guy was taking my bike to his shop on his trailer and 3 different people asked him how come he had my bike. I only knew one of the people that asked him. So I told my buddy....They probably wouldn't make it out of the track unless they were able to sneak it into a van when nobody was looking and took off right away. I know theft happens but I always thought the racing community was a pretty honest hard working bunch and I've never worried about my stuff at the track.

thats the other thought i had. even if they get away with the bike then where could the thief even ride it? peeling off graphics won't hide factory parts. I wonder if the teams are dropping any type of tracker in their race bikes these days. bolt cutters would probably work to get the bikes lifted from any truck stops en route

You should worry if ILoveMoto is at your track....

"What bro, it's just a pair of goggles, so what if I stole them?"

"Bro, it's just a can of chain lube, it's not like I'm stealing something big."

"It's just a bike stand, lighten up."

"Yeah, I stole your ramp, it's just a ramp who cares."

"It's only a gas can, why do you care that I stole it?"

i don't know. I guess it would depend on the track you're at. if the thief is able to get on the bike and take off without anyone noticing, he could get out of sight quickly. careful betting on other riders to chase off into the distance after your bike. cops might not respond or even be allowed to chase, depending on the area. when I rode at budds creek i was told never to leave the bike unattended even for a minute. take the bike to sign up, take the bike to the track to watch. never leave it on the stand these days unless you live in texas or some law and order place

You're comparing Jett entering an area of excited race fans after his victory and having the fans grab his goggles to a common thief?

Being a thief is being a thief brother.  The fact you are the only one here who supports it makes me think you're probably a thief.

I don't support it, I know how fans, short for fanatics, can get when near their hero's. Way different than being a common thief.

Using this message board as your jury pool might not be your best decision...
