Can we all agree, Daytona was Jett's breakout moment

To be the Man, you gotta beat the man and Jett not only beat the Man! ( Eli Tomac ) he Dominated at the one race Eli is legendary at, Daytona.   I think last night was a huge confidence booster and statement from Jett that he's the guy to beat and everybody needs to find another gear to keep up.  Jett's the new FMOTP and we saw brief moments of Jett in his Heat race and the Main where when he decides to go full send, nobody can match his speed, because he passed his competition including Tomac with relative ease.   I thought this video of McGrath kind of explains how every rider knows his time is comin where he's not the Best! anymore.

all of a sudden the race he wins by a few seconds is a "breakout?" He won mxon in 2022 and every moto last summer

Jett still had a pile of small mistakes. In the post race conference he talked about learning to settle with those mistakes and not push for extra tenths. IF he keeps that up they’re all in trouble, if not I see him crashing out sometime.

I'm talking about in the premier class of Supercross and the Weak! field nonsense doesn't hold water anymore.

Not sure how you could agree on that without him having locked up the title.

I guess if you're a ball gargler you might.

So he didn’t have his breakout moment until AFTER his undefeated season? What?

When it comes to speed he has been the guy to beat since he got on a 450, nothing changed this race more than the people that belived this race would belong to Tomac got an eye opener.

In your mind, is everyone who is a fan of any particular rider a "ball-gargler"?

Can one only NOT be a ball-gargler if they aren't a fan of one rider over the others??

Are you using the clutch smoking as an excuse for him being beaten last night?

Tomac literally said he didn’t feel a difference in his clutch.

Also if it did have an effect on his ride, it’s his own fault.

Tomac isn’t making excuses so why are you? Jett beat him straight up.

Agree other than to point out he had a 12 second gap and walked it in. To say he only won by a few seconds doesn't really tell the story accurately

In this instance he is correct. Bigreddick needs the attention/ wanted to argue and started another Jett thread.

I think it's strange behavior.

OK. Tell you haven't been paying attention to moto in the last year without telling me 😂. If you’re NOT a gargler. Can you name ONE rider on the planet who could beat Jett?  You can take your time. I’ll wait - of course you can’t. It must suck if you’re a moto fan and can’t recognize or appreciate the start of a domination we haven't seen in a while. Just appreciate it don’t hate on it. You’re just projecting homosexual connotations with your gargle comment - not that there’s anything wrong with that. It just sounds so uninformed and jealous.

I guess you didn’t hear Eli say he didn’t notice a thing, he said his bike rode fine the whole Moto in his podium speech.

Still not 100% on the train. That track was a risk reward track. What I saw from jett was he was willing to risk it for the biscuit with the quad that was 3/4 + a lap in time and another spot where he pushed and got a few more tenths that guys were just taking the safe line.

All honesty what I'm seeing is every week there's a guy for that weekend that just has a little more then the rest or willing to hang it out a little more then the others. Last week mookie ken and eli were the men there but jett almost won and coop grinded it out.

This week jett put it on the line and did what other didnt feel like doing. There wasnt anything stewable that made the difference.

Next week who really knows. This is a great year every week there's 8-10 guys that could just show up and win.

Im more interested in how the outdoors go. That will cement somethings one way or another.

Oh! stop with your nonsense, you can easily ignore posts about Jett, but instead your Butthurt and Triggered attitude forces you to come on here and insult and call people names on a Motoboard.   Suck it up tough guy, you better get use to years of watching Jett Lawrence win AMA MX and SX titles and you're going to have to learn how to accept threads about him, because he's the most popular SX and MX rider in the world.  It happened with RC and James Stewart and Eli Tomac, it's gonna happen with Jett Lawrence.

Only reason Jett has won a single race is because Deegan isn't on a 450, you just need to get used to the DangerZone, it's coming like it or not.

Do you people really believe that even if Tomac was struggling with a smoked clutch, he would be stupid enough to blame the bike in public? C’mon guys, he’s played this game way too long and knows better. “Yeah, no, it was the clutch that didn’t hold up to my abuse. But hey, run out and buy yourself a brand new YZ, they’re the best”!

The outdoors is a joke now. With SMX, more will be sitting out the Nats. Summer used to be when the men showed up, not anymore…

It sure seemed to me that Eli backed it off some when the smoke started. Didn't it happen right about when Jett passed him and Chase and it looked like Eli was going to quickly pass Chase and pursue Jett?

Something changed and Eli just followed Chase around for a long time. I don't think Eli is a liar though and he said multiple times he felt the bike was fine. He could have simply said he backed it off a little bit out of caution for the bike...but he didn't say that.

Jett still had a moment towards the end. Chase and Eli are simply not going to risk it as much as Jett is right now. That was the difference.

One thing I think people can agree on Daytona SX is one seriously challenging race and Winning the premier SX class at Daytona is definitely a significant accomplished

It was noticeable about 2 laps after Jett passed eli.

Jett had won the race by then he was up about 5 seconds.

If eli had so much speed he should have passed chase in the opening 5 laps.

Go have a look at the tomac threads about Jett awakening the beast.

There's a lot of ball gargling going on there.
