BRAAAAAPPPPP! Hey there folks. I'm another new guy to the forum here. Go ahead and fire away! I can take it.
I have loved and been invilved in motorcycles since 1969 when I was 6 years old. I started racing in '71 and have been doing so ever since. Now I have a 10 year old that has been racing for 3 years. I'm happy to have found this forum.
Here are some old and some new pics providing some history and some current info about me and my kid...

This is my current ride. It's a '74 Maico 250 radial. Lots of fun and keeps me busy in the garage!

This is me back in the day on a Kawasaki MC1-90. My mom worked for Spoke-and-Wheels in Texarkana, TX and we were die hard Kawasaki fans.

Here is an action shot. Check that BASIC style!!!
It's good to be here and I am really enjoying this section of Motodrive!
Feel free to visit my son's site at http://www.conradlofton.com for another good time. Thanks!

That last pic was taken at B&S Motocross on the Arkansas side of Texarkana. Taken around late '73 or early '74. We raced there, Longview MX, Rusk MX, Rio Bravo and many of the other tracks from East Texas to California in the early 70's. I loved to race on the track in Shreveport where the AMA National was held. That drop-off down to the "river section" was awsome for a kid on a mini with 3" of suspension travel!
Here's a pic of my 10 year old son...my what a difference in style. Here he's riding his KTM 65SX. This kid has it going on where I only thought I did back in the day!

Look's like there's more than a few of Texans that love the old Maico's
Your 250 is sweet.
I'll try to scan and post some pics from my days when I raced the KX420 with the Uni-Trac. That bike would vibrate your hands to the point where there was no feeling for hours after a 45 minute moto. What a brutal machine that thing was.

Introductory post in any forum but main is suspect
Hello to you too, sir. I'm not sure what one would be suspiscious of, Dean?
I was introduced to this forum through a local board called mx crazy and the link took me straight to this Old School Moto forum. I think that this part of motodrive intrests me more than the other parts. I'm not aware on any other Old School Moto forums on the internet, so I think this is way cool. I have no alterior motives here; rest assured of that. I did not read any rules that indicated that I should not post here with my first post so it sounds like you may just be a little cranky. Maybe you should go throw a leg over a bike for a few hours and come back later a little happier person. Whadda ya' think?
My son just healed from this...

And today is going to be his first day back on his bike. We are really excited!!!
Have a good day!
Welcome to the board.

If this rain ever stops long enough, I will be there with the Maico and my son on his 65. Looking forward to meeting you. I will not be hard to spot.
