Hi All,

Been riding for quite a long time(consistently on/off since '94), but sold my 2017.5 KTM FC 450F and 2018 Alta prior to Q3/Q4 2019(which were my last bikes I owned). Super excited with the new purchase and look forward to having some fun within Houston's tracks.20240223 182616

Didn’t think there’d be any ‘23 SR’s left. Very cool. Congrats! 👌

No, if you are not pre mixing fuel you did not speak with your wallet.

Nice looking bike though, looks fun 👍

Thanks! Lol...I think my wallet might disagree. However, you are correct, no pre mixing here.

I had the same thought, but was really lucky to connect with the dealer shortly from my house. Deals are out there, just need patience. Good luck to anyone looking .

Nice Bike! Give us a ride report, I'm kicking myself for not buying the SR right next to my 450X on the showroom floor.

What'd ya give for her?

Im liking mine so far but if i were to recommend two things right off the bat, its getting suspension sprung n valved for yourself And doing the kx250 rear rotor and carrier swap. Way better modulation. Stock, be careful cuz she locks up if you breathe on that pedal lol. Im also finding a few MM less than the recommended 105 sag helps with front end feel with forks at first line.

You're on a new Kawi now? How does it compare to the Yamaha?

Truth be told, i miss my yam.. but, after the mods mentioned above, ive got the kaw pretty comfortable. It just seems bigger and takes more effort to turn, even with 21mm clamps. My yam i literally put a WC lever on and raced it. Was immediate comfort. Kaw has taken a little massaging. Lowered pegs, moved bar mounts to get my weight more up front for turning. Im on a kaw because i got a great deal. If both bikes were side by side same price, yam all day. But i saved over 3k from buying a new yam (yam was stolen) so i figured id give the kaw a go. Plus, kawi contingency is far better than yam. Yam only paid $150 at Daytona. Kawi, add a zero to that! We'll see next weekend how i really feel on it!
