Hey, So just wondering what everyone has enjoyed most about 2024 so far and how the season is playing out. There have been so many stories to start the year!
Jett's debut in SX
Sexton on the KTM
Husqvarna's lack of form/ bad finishes
Hunters debut in SX (still 9th in points and top rookie beside Jett)
Triumph entering the mix
Ducati announcement (I can't wait for the dirt shark clips!)
Jorge traveling to the US and mixing it up
So many winners, I saw on the Gypsey pod that they said we would only have 5 or 6 winners this year, Will this still be the case?
250s are super competitive
Austin's epic comeback win
Elis return
I like that were going into round 7 and there’s no clear cut guy to win the title still, in either class
bummed about the mud races. but it is what it is. basically subtracted two events, so just ready to move on.
The husky point has me thinking. Is there anything in the contracts that allow teams to drop riders? Has anyone been dropped by a factory team mid season for poor results?
that’s not to bash on either of the husky boys, but I cannot imagine their corporate leaders are thrilled about the results this season.
what has surprised me the most is APs performance. I like him but I never saw him as a championship contender, but this year I see him as a genuine title threat

Its kind of a weird season to me. The individual races haven't been all that great tbh. No barn burner battles. Top 3 guys off the start are usually your podium unless a guy like Friese gets a start. Pretty boring. But the points say greatest series ever? Idk. Weird vibe
Lol wtf... That's been over for a minute. Weve been moved on
For me:
Five 450 winners.
Four 250 west winners.
and the east is just getting rolling.
Awesome start so far.
Milsaps from Kawasaki? I think the contents of the locker was an excuse maybe?
Stew, Tickle, and Clason all suspended by the FIM
Couldn’t agree more. I like that there’s no clear cut title threat, but the racing itself really hasn’t been as exciting as you’d think based on close points standings
Agree, it kinda proves that context is everything. The racing has been relatively boring, especially for the wins. I read a stat somewhere that there has been almost no passing for the lead thus far (not counting leaders crashing and losing the lead).
