At Daytona my money is on a bulldog like Sipes or a guy looking to prove a point like Stroupe.

Here's a novel idea/ approach. Why don't all of you just write "Justin Barcia" or if that is too much work for you just "Barcia" could be acceptable I suppose.

As for the thread topic: Well Barcia could do it as he has the speed and the desire but he is going to have to stay away from playing games with people. Austin Stroupe or Christophe Pourcel will put him down if he gets too close I think. Austin Stroupe had terrible luck last year at Daytona (mostly his own fault) so he will be pullin extra hard for a win. In the end though my money is still on Pourcel for the win. Daytona gets gnarly with the ruts and bumps and that should suit Pourcel just fine.

I doubt Barcia will have the balls or speed to get near Pourcel again this season.

In his rookie year he should be looking for consistent results and not picking fights.

Like in another thread, Barcia is still real young, he will find more speed as he gets more mature. I think it is good having a guy like Larocco in your corner as well. Maybe he is instilling in him not to take shit from others and leave it on the track when you are done. People forget that he was with him speed wise outdoors and so were a few others. Pourcel is good but I don't think he is as dominent as RV, Stewart or RC were on the small bikes.

Barcia has the potential to win Daytona for sure... there are some long straights on the Daytona track and fewer opportunities for games to be played in the corners. With Barcia's WFO riding style, I think he can easily win it... IF he can keep it on two wheels. He's out of the title hunt after Atlanta, so he's got nothing to lose at this point.

As much as I dont like it, Pourcel will mor ethan likely take Daytona. On the rough/super technical tracks Pourcel will be solid. On the fater tracks is where Pourcel will have problems.

Im pullin for Barica though. Kid is fast and has mad skills!

This will be the only race track where Poucel will have an advantage over Barcia. Barcia opened up in the outdoor series but I thought the SX series was where Barcia would run for the #1 plate. Poucel has the wins while Barcia has the speed. If Barcia checks out at Daytona it will cripple the frenchman's ego.

Why would he have problems on a faster track? Pourcel is faster than Barcia and everyone else. He just doesn't throw his body all over the place.

There's nobody out there at Pourcel's level. Even Stewart said at Atlanta that he expects him to go right to the front of the 450 class next year.

Pourcel was faster than everyone in the 250 class. That was last year. Even Poucel had to laugh when he was asked if he was ever passed that much in a race like Saturday. He couldn''t remember ever having young guns take it to him on an SX track.
