Mcadoo “hanging it out” tonight

2/5/2024 7:46am

Mathis said in the review pod that MacAdoo was going to be on the show tonight to explain why he got so petered out in the 250 main.

Just don't order the 2-piece and you'll be good. Wink

Can we finally get gear companies to agree that modern moto pants are getting a bit thin in the Johnson area?

Agree with earlier posts the lad is super lucky it didn't get his sack too. Good thing McAdoo has a good sense of humour.

Exactly right!

Knees shred in minor tip overs, seams come apart, jerseys shred in a crash.. Gear makers should be embarrassed every time we see destroyed stuff on a pro.. Instead they make thinner/lighter garbage that fails in a comically pathetic manner, on a national broadcast.

Moto gear has been too fragile for years now, it’s way past time to make heavier, much more durable gear.

I hope this doesn’t start another trend like the truck balls a few years back LOL

Who would have thought the only thing talked about as much as Jett would be McAdoo's ball bag

I wondered why “Mcadoo hanging it out” was going on 100+ replies so I finally clicked on it. My god this is one of the funniest/bizarre things I’ve ever seen n moto. I cannot believe he was riding a SX track with this going on 😂

and some to these replies are pure gold!

People talking about gear quality. I had riding pants in 1980 that was substantially better than the thin pants of today. I feel I’d have just as much protection riding in sweats. I do wear moto underwear that would have kept those things under wrap and not flopping in the breeze. I’ll have to watch a reply of the race and try to see if any riders behind him are laughing. Cameron is tough AF!

I really wish you could share videos in here because I just watched THE video and there was a lot more than his coin purse flapping around in the breeze 💀💀💀

Lots of ‘material’ to work with for a butt (nut) patch this weekend.

2/5/2024 11:54am

He has had some of the most wild things happen to him in crashes.   But this one has to have given him the most exposure.

Amazing how lucky he got to have it just rip his clothing.

Thin gear, comfortable gear is what people want to buy. The stuff that factory riders are wearing is most likely not off the shelf and is built for the riders. So You really can not compare it to production gear. But I agree that production pants/jerseys and gloves to an extent, for the most part have become  less and less protective gear. Other than leather in the knee areas, I feel like a good pair of work pants would be more protective.  With Thor gear, the mid line  still is thick and more protective. All the higher end gear is disposable now.

If that is what is selling, that is what gear brands will build.  Hopefully there will be some better materials coming along that  can flex, vent and still be protective and not just burst open. I'm surprised this has not happened more .

I had to get in on the jokes.  I can not imagine how that would feel on a ribbed gripper seat cover. I don't think the PC seats are as sharp of a texture as some are. Like a Gutt's  with the sharp tri angles. OUCH just thinking about it.

Why wouldn't they get equal attention?

They're essentially the same thing. Woohoo

Figured it wouldn’t be allowed on there or will get taken down pretty quickly. I was sent the video in a text.

I'll reverse one of your later sentences - "If that is what gear brands build, that is what will sell". It's selling because that's what they make (not what the consumer is asking for) - it's all about margins and repeat sales.

They're just adopting one of the latest trends in manufacturing for previously durable goods - disposable products.

Household appliances, autos, offroad bikes (cost more to overhaul than they can be sold for afterwards), etc., etc. So many industries have decided to model the napkin business - use it, throw it away, buy a new one. Very few have the Maytag model in their business plan; there's no money in a lack of repeat sales.

No worries. I've still got plenty of good gear on hand and if/when I need to replace it, I'll see if the offroad companies (Moose, etc.) have followed this lead. If not, I'll go with them. If so, I guess I'll be rockin' the Ronnie Mac replica line, because I don't feel like spending $200 or more on a pair of $5 pantyhose... that I'll have to buy again before my next ride. Cool

Her: “what TF are you watching that’s got you cackling like a hyena?!”

Me: “You wouldn’t get it.”

It makes me wonder, what's worse, getting caught by your girl while looking at a woman's T&A or a man's pole?

I'm pretty sure I have the definitive answer 😏

From the frontal video it appears McAdoo junior wears a beanie, not a helmet 😂
