We all know Deegan is going to get as much if not more attention than Jett, and the more he wins or is close to winning the more it becomes the exact same with how its played out for Jett the past couple of years.

2- If you don't think Jett is a star, you haven't been paying attention.
Jett is not a star. They are trying to create one. As easily shown by his lack lustre social media presence for the amount of push he’s gotten.
Deegan is already a star, that’s the difference.
I get you are a Jett fan, that’s fine. But he’s not a star. Go to the track and listen to the crowds. Look at his online presence. Don’t just listen to what the broadcast tells and shows you. You’ll realize he isn’t THAT popular amongst the fans. And outside of the sport? Zero notoriety. He’s not a star.

Yep, I realise that. The point is that the Jett haters, who are invariably Deegan gurglers, claim they dislike Jett because of the media oversatuation. But they're nowhere to be seen when it happens to their boy-crush Deegan.
In terms of Deegan, the coverage of him was ridiculous - half of the heat race focused on him. However, I understand that TV is going to go where they think they need to in order to keep eyeballs on the screen. The Jett-haters don't seem to understand the media has its own imperatives. One final point, while I understand what the media is doing, at least with Jett he's earned his attention. Two regional supercross races in a row, two outdoor 250 championships in a row, one 450 outdoor championship undefeated.

I mean I’m literally talking about star power only in terms of popularity. Not anything to do with rider skill. Axel Hodges is a star and has never raced a professional race.
Star power and talent is 2 different things.
But outside of social media presence, in terms of popularity what makes Jett a star? Nobody outside of core Mx/SX knows him, he doesn’t even have the largest fanbase within the sport. Did I miss his Wheaties box or interview on Kimmel? Lol
