as for what I teach my kids, if you really think calling a 10th place start a "10th place holeshot" is going to make or break a kid, go with that. I feel very confident with my program.

and one last thing--be careful who you talk to like that, because I have alot of friends in the industry, and used to work for a company that used engine ice in their motors. I'll be sure to push maxima from now on! and before you get off your meds again, don't worry, this is my absolute FINAL post on a message board. I knew most of the people here were cool, but when I get two pages correcting me for something that wasn't even the crux of my post, I know it's time to bow out. cya at the races! Smile

Yikes ! That is more than a little weak to threaten business owners over a verbage disagreement. Anyhoo Dave,I wouldn't worry too much , im pretty sure you're a little more respected in the "industry" than our boy Motochooch. Wonder if Mitch started this way ?? Laughing

for those of you who have never raced before, let me explain how a race starts: all of the racers line up behind a gate, and when it falls, they all go as fast as they can to the first turn. this is commonly referred to as the "holeshot". what I was referring to in my post, was my rider coming from the far outside and coming around the first turn in 10th place, which, at a national, especially one with a deep uphill start, is not easy to do. so his position was 10th coming around the first turn during the holeshot, thus, he scored a "10th place holeshot". douches.
Almost like winning 3rd place.

I hate getting in these threads because I feel my reply will come off as bashing PC. Their bikes are fast, but not magic. The riders make them magic. And it's true they don't sell what they race.. no matter who you are.

The only way to put this to rest is to have a bikes done up by some good engine builders, all stock appearing... test riders will have no idea who did them. Then pick a winner.

What magazine is willing to do this? I think it would be a great story.

Id love to see a magazine do this story.I think many people would be surprised to see a shop out of WI do very very well.

The Monster Pro-Circuit Kawasaki's ARE Magic.

They're 'Works' bikes...as Works as a 250F can be, that is.

They get WHATEVER they need. Be it Special Heads, Cams, Ignitions, Gears and other parts...whether it comes from P.C. or KHI...they get all the trick stuff.

And that's how ya do it when ya wanna Win.

What a chickenshit thing to say. You're going to attack someones business over words on a message board. You must be a real prick.

Seriously - if you're so into the industry you wouldn't say someone got a 10th place holeshot. And then call them douches. Swallow your pride and admit you're wrong. Business threats are lame and sad. Logging out is a great option.

The PC bikes are indeed magic and so are most of the riders Mitch has had over the years.

The question was will this guy get what the PC team are running? Probably not but he'll get excellent stuff. There are alternatives and running a PC motor wont guarantee results.

WFO if you have any doubts then call Mitch and ask (as someone said earlier)

Personally I would get info from a few builders and see what is on offer, it's a buyers market.

Lastly, I wouldn't discount Factory Connection or whoever builds their motors. From memory last year after Metty lost his PC ride and went to Geico there was only 1 PC bike to finish the nats (overall) ahead of him and that was Pourcel.

I've always wondered if FC gets the same kind of treatment Mitch gives to his main riders....FC's engines are PC engines but therein lies a conflict of interest bec Mitch has an exclusive agreement with KAWI so how much of his engine building stuff can he devote to a team thats not his main baby or not even run but him?

Its kinda funny, but when T hahn was on factory honda, his full on bad to the bone honda race bike was clearly slower than the PC bikes.

I heard that Pro Circuit's racers don't even all get the best engines. I heard that the top guy gets the best engine and not every engine is the same, they're all terrific i'm sure but some are even better then others on the same team.

Wasn't Ryan Morais posting roughly the same results this year on his Suzuki (until he got hurt, obviously) as he was last year on his Pro Circuit Kawasaki?

Actually I think he was riding a bit better this season.

This might not be politically correct to ask, but hey, if you are racing against the PC guys what are you truely gonna get week end and week out?
PM me if you can't speak out.
I am thinking of supporting a guy and need to what to expect......

Even if you were to not get Pro Circuits "A" stuff, what are the other options. Point number two would be how often do you want to rebuild the thing. The "A" stuff might be much more expensive to maintain. If you could get it you might not even want it.

Amazed people are suprised when someone says they won't use or support someones product when the owner acts like a prick and treat people like shit.

Would you go back to a store or tell others you know to use and support a product if the owner was a prick to you at a party or at a public event? Owners of companys can have opinions but they should know and understand that pissing people off might be bad.

You're really going to tell your industry friends and the company that you used to work for "Stop using this quality product that you've been using and have trust in, because the owner of that company was mean to me on the internet"?

I'd think that one through first unless you want to risk looking foolish (again). -Neil

Wow...this could have been a really interesting topic if a bunch of people weren't concerned about who is the bigger bad ass online...

No wonder most of the stuff on here is BS, I joined up hoping to discuss some interesting topics but almost every thread turns into a bunch of shit like this one....

Cut the guy some slack, whether or not he used the same terminology you do or not, you know what he meant.

Engines not motors, motorcycles use engines that burn fuel, motors are electric! unless you want to get a last place HOLESHOT on your electric MX bike.
