Cahuilla Creek MX VET tracks new layout is freaking awesome! And seeing DV12 chasing Marvin around on 2-strokes today was even awesomer! Got to love MX! MX had to be the only sport where everyday Joes get to mix it up with the heroes of the sport. And cheering for the Cobra while he putts around was just as fun too!
Very cool. Hoping for some pics!
Nobody has video????
Was Cahuilla the track DV shredded in stone spray sandwich?
Pics, or it didn't happen!
Lucky bastards

Yep I thought the clip would be in the thread already
I had to get on my wife’s socials to copy and paste
Yes it was. There was a very young Eli Tomac in it as well ripping an RM85.
I was there yesterday as well, and the new vet layout is pretty damn rad. It was BONKERS crowded, like too crowded to have fun.
Is Musquin still fast?
Is the sky blue? He was the fastest guy on the VET track.
Would be sick to see muskrat ripping a 2t at chalupa
Anyone else’s OCD triggered by the black backgrounds on Marv’s 250cc 2T?
Nah! black backgrounds on a 2fiddy right where they belong.
sup Zeke?
Well @dv12.com what did you think of the FI 250? 😎
Cahuilla Vet track is great for a 46 year old overweight and out of shape has been! I rode my YZ Monday at Pala (didn't ride much, set up was off haha) and Wednesday at Cahuilla... At the end of the day, I rode a few laps on Marv's 250 EFI. Here is what I wrote about it on my FB page:
"I got a lot of messages asking about the injected KTM 250…
1. I’ve never liked the feel of a KTM whenever I tried them. Felt boxy
2. Felt great on it right away with Marv’s bars & levers position
3. Handling was good. Very easy to turn compare to older KTMs I’ve tried
4. His bike had spring forks which felt plush and stiff enough for my 220lbs & speed. Not sure if I would've liked the air forks. Not a fan of those...
5. Engine was very linear on the bottom with good mid and great top. He has aftermarket pipe/silencer
6. The 2019 YZ250 has a bigger hit off the bottom but not as good mid/top
7. YZ250 chassis felt more rigid/choppy and the KTM felt smoother & more comfortable to ride
8. KTM brakes are very strong and not very progressive. Something I’ve always struggled with at first. Just something to get used to.
Overall, pleasantly surprised and almost make me want to jump into the dark side… But I don’t have the funds…"
It's fun to ride again. I didn't ride a track since November 2020. I rode in Moab in May 2022 with a rental KTM250 XC (?) but on trails. I might need to get in a minimum of shape if I want to ride often. I feel like I can ride ok but man, riding is tough haha
Pit Row
Awesome man! 🙏
Cool to see DV and Marv getting out there!
Backgrounds no, but outlined numbers, yes.
Was hoping to see DV in tennis shoes and no helmet, ripping out there, but still rad!
I love seeing DV post that he's been riding. It always bums me out when these great riders end their careers and seemingly want nothing to do with riding. We all ride or rode at one time just for the fun of it and it's great if a retired rider can find that again.
Post a reply to: Cahuilla Creek MX and DV12!!
