I loved them. They handled well and did not take much to get them to really sing.

I had a 79 model and went pretty good on it. Raise the exhaust 1mm and disconnect the rev limiter. Also keep the clutch fresh and you're good to go.

A guy by the name of Lance Newsome went pretty fast on one of those. Chased Billy Liles all over Ga. Caught him evey now and then.

My bro and I just picked one up for a new project. My brother loved his '79. That looks like a real nice one.

I still have mine from 1980! I'm in the process of restoring it. So far, I've been able to score a DG head and a NOS pair of 16.25" Fox Air Shox, along with many other NOS parts.

My bike was actually in really good shape (40 hrs maybe), but the kick idle gear broke and unfortunately, Suzuki placed its circlip on the INSIDE of the center case. What would take minutes to fix on a modern bike requires you to split the cases on this one.

My mom recently found the old sales receipt for the bike - $1121 brand new out the door!

I also have an old 2-page magazine ad for the bike. At that time, Suzuki had won EVERY 125 World Championship!
