He was ordered to pay $83 million to this woman for continuing to deny it and say she was lying after he was convicted of it. It’s the reason he could be sued for it.

Edit: And I didn’t downvote you.

Go ahead and tell me when he was convicted of rape… that was a fail.

Some People Insist Trump Was 'Convicted' of Rape in May 2023. Here's What the Jury Actually Decided

Former President Trump is back in court a second time over statements he made denying that he sexually assaulted writer E. Jean Carroll in the mid 1990s. Back in May 2023, after only three hours of deliberation, a jury decided that former U.S. President Donald Trump had defamed Carroll

All I saw was that he was convicted of sexual assault under NY law.

I’m not totally in agreement with the way NY law defines rape, but I also think it’s pretty clear it was a hoax.

Normally, rapes aren’t charged without solid evidence. Otherwise, us guys would have to worry about pissing off a woman we don’t even know, and her totally making up a story and getting us convicted (sound familiar?).

How would you like to be accused for that, 30 years after it supposedly happened, and the woman can’t even tell you the YEAR, let alone the exact date. No physical evidence, nothing. If a woman gets raped, I’m sure she would remember when.

Also, did you see her creepy interview with Anderson Cooper, where she said most people think rape is sexy? It even creeped him out enough to call for going to break. Don’t feel bad if you didn’t see it, they couldn’t let the jury see it either.

Love Trump, or hate Trump, that is messed up.

Edit:

Also, According to Alan Dershowitz, that was a civil case, and not a criminal case, so it wasn’t actually a conviction, instead he was found liable.

Okay so have I answered your questions?

You are jumping through so many hoops to defend a man “convicted of sexual assault” and “found liable” for rape. He owes $90 million for it. It’s a bad look, bro!

You said he was convicted of rape.

He was found liable for sexual assault. Call it convicted if you want, but still not rape.

I admit it’s splitting hairs.

Being factual is not jumping through hoops.
My main point of this is slipping past you. Without the accuracy of splitting hairs, this leftist DOJ could convict anyone, of anything they want, at any time. . They made their own rules. They cut the track and nobody called them out.

is this the justice system you want to go up against?

edit:

Also, the way I understand it, conviction would be for a criminal case. Liable is civil

If Trump was convicted criminally, we would be discussing years, not dollars.

Add this to the exxxtremely long list of Trump smeer jobs by the gas-lighting globalist POS's.

They'll twist the judicial system into a pretzel to get an agenda accomplished. It's about as covert as an ocean liner horn.

‘this leftist DOJ could convict anyone, of anything they want, at any time. . They made their own rules. They cut the track and nobody called them out.’

In 2020 the DOJ - under President Trump - tried to have the case moved to federal court, arguing that Trump’s denials were made as part of his official role as president and that he could not be sued for defamation.

Judge Kaplan ruled against them.

The case then went to the DC Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, where it was heard by full a panel of judges. The DOJ - by this time under the Biden administration - still maintained exactly the same argument in favour of Donald Trump. Both appellate courts ultimately declined to rule so it was remanded back to Judge Kaplans original decision.

(Clinton appointed Judge Kaplan, incase you're interested, oversaw the Virginia Giuffre v Prince Andrew trial. Before which he also rejected several attempts by Prince Andrews legal team to have the case dismissed.)

What a time to be alive.

I cant wait for all the fuckwits cheering this , to explain what side they were on in 2050, to their grandkids.

It will be quite easy, because they will be sat opposite you at the breakfast table every morning, cos your kids, will never have been able to move out of home, unable to find work because they aren't diverse enough.

Blackrock will have withheld your 401k, because your credit score is too low, after not being able to afford the next level EV that has been mandated.

Of course , none of this will happen, because for it to be a reality , there would need to be an open border, and a party hell bent on destroying everything , just so they can get people in, with the promise of benefits for a vote.

And they would never get elected , would they.

What will it take for people  to realise, that you are cheering for a situation where a guy shitting on your porch in an 'Orange Man Bad'  T Shirt will be on you.

On the bright side , at least it will be easier to 'share showers', you know , 'to save water'.

Maybe I’m wrong, I thought the court system was part of the DOJ.

edit:

Also, since you brought it up, that was part of the point I was trying to make.  It was a CIVIL trial, not a criminal one. He was never convicted of rape, only found civilly liable, which bears almost zero, if not zero burden of proof.

So basically, the judge has fined president Trump for continually proclaiming his innocence on the original verdict.

So does that mean that ANYONE proclaiming their innocence, can be charged again  ???

Seriously, this lawfare bullshit is tearing apart our justice system.

Remember, he's always claimed, they're not just coming for him.

Just ask the J6 political prisoners.

The moms going against the teacher's unions.

The list is growning of people/groups finding themselves the target of our current federal government, for things that used to be guaranteed by our constitution.

Its amazing that without anyone changing what they thought for the last 20 years, that half of the USA is now a Far Right ,Racist, threat to Democracy.

I would love someone who had been in a Coma for 20 years, to wake up, and watch a Biden speech, without knowing what it was, and then being asked to guess .

And then wondering why the fuck they woke up.

That’s his whole schtick though: Live a life that’s completely different from the common man he sells himself to, do whatever shady stuff he wants, get in trouble for it, then say “They’re really coming after you for this, and I’m in their way, protecting you.”

His life is actually more like the lives of the people he says are the boogeymen. He’s an east coast elite, private school educated, nepo-billionaire conman.

The J6 prisoners are in jail for ASSAULTING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.

So who went to jail when the libatrds took over an entire area of downtown Seattle and violently shut down a police precinct?

How is that any different? Why isn’t it still in the headlines that your libtard brethren forcibly took control of part of a city?

That was Pretty much an act of war but since it was a bunch of fucktards that don’t know having a dick makes you a man and having a pussy makes you a girl we had to let it be to not hurt the feelings of anyone.

Im sure you sympathize with them though right?

I don’t know because I’m not obsessed with that stuff like so many in the Trump camp seem to be. It’s not still a headline because it happened 4 years ago and one or two other things have happened since then.

Also, the comparison argument is so tired. One person (or a group of people) committing crime has never made it okay for someone else to. If Biden (or Clinton) had the record that Trump has now, no one on this side would be defending them.

Someone is going to chime in and say that they DO have the same record, or are guilty of the same crimes, and no they are not. Republicans have been scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for clues to create an equivalency and can’t find anything except that Bill Clinton was friends with a pedophile and that Hunter Biden is a sketch ball. Hunter’s probably going to spend time in jail, and he should. As soon as some evidence shows up against Bill, he should get everything that one deserves for the type of crimes he may have committed.

You do realize that the guilty verdict was in a civil case, not a criminal case, right? Completely different standards of proof/evidence/guilt.

Got it. Civil case means no proof, no evidence, and no guilt. It’s all make believe. Heil Trumpler may he rape and pillage us all.

For Trump supporters – nothing he has done or ever will do – will get them to not vote for Trump because he isn't their past or future President; he is their messiah. You bring up his documented failures as a man, they deflect to the pasts of others. You bring up his documented failures as a president, they cry "witch hunt". You hold up Trumps own words in any arena in which he is a failure, and it's "fake news", or a "hit job", or a "democrat / FBI conspiracy". Yet not one single person on this board, or in the real world, has ever defended Trump by actually defending Trump because it is an impossible task when he's left to stand on his own two feet. It has been, and will only ever be, deflect and attack.

Just look at the thread in which I posed the question asking them to say 5 bad things about Trump. After a solid week of Trump folks jumping on everything I've posted on this board at a pace in which could power the world for a week if you could harness it, when asked to speak ill about their fuhrer... crickets, deflections, and personally attacks. So now, not only can they not defend Trump on his own merits, but they refuse to say anything bad about him either. It's the same reason they shit on Hollywood celebrities – despite the fact many of them were every day folks just like you and I before they reached their level of success – yet they can't stop praising a silver-spoon reality TV star. Textbook cult behavior.

The truth of the matter is, the only way Trump supporters would stop supporting Trump, is to break bread with those who are in contrast to the very fantasy that Trump has given them the confidence to believe as their reality; much akin to how most KKK folks only realize the faults of their ways when they put in the effort to spend time with Jews and Black people. But Trump folks won't do that either as it takes an openness they don't want to poses and a drive for actual change they don't want to have because to learn Trump was wrong would destroy the foundation they've built (that has already cost many of them so much) and believing in a messiah is easier than doing the work yourself.

It's sad to see such passionate people wasting their awe inspiring levels of dedication on a man who has proven time and time again that not only couldn't he care less about them – or the country he was selected to represent –  but through their blind admiration they are lumping themselves in with a man with a moral value of absolute zero.

There is only one messiah...and it's damned sure not Donald Trump. Most of the people who support him don't do so out of some blind loyalty. They do so because they do not believe anything the mainstream media has to say. As for me, I think Donald Trump comes off as abrasive, dismissive, self centered, egotistical, and in general an ass. I would not care to be around the man in a social setting if that's how he truly conducts himself. I will vote for him again though, as I see the direction the leaders of this country are taking it. I don't like where we're headed, and of the two candidates, I believe Mr. Trump was and is the better choice for the future of our nation. I think we need someone who is willing to do what needs to be done. Someone who does not care whose feelings get hurt in the process. We Americans have become too soft.

Politically speaking, I would describe myself as Libertarian rather than Republican. Unfortunately, the two party system doesn't really allow for political choice.

As soon as some evidence shows up against Bill, he should get everything that one deserves for the type of crimes he may have committed.

its posts like this that explain so much.

Clueless.

Exactly this.

Hire someone who can get the job done.

In the absence of a proper system that would allow us a an actual choice,  i want the guy that delivers.

Nobody who actually achieved anything, certainly in business, did by being nice.

I will take a guy who got rich, and then went in to politics, over a guy who went into politics to get rich.

Or you could have Biden, who isnt nice , and has achieved nothing in 45 years

Once fools like him invade these threads with their ignorance, and trolling antagonism, you just have to scroll past.

Morning joe, joy reid, and co. got to them first.
