I'm a big consumer of everything that Steve does. I play fantasy, have listened to all the podcasts since the very beginning and really enjoy everything Pulp. I really appreciate how Steve includes fans in his shows.
Last Monday I had what I thought was a pretty legitimate "Racetech Rant". I've been frustrated about how the TV show has been cutting away from the races during the heats before we find out who qualifies and have only shown the winner and maybe second or third. I really want to see the race for 9th! It really matters!
I called in and talked to Marx and told him what I wanted to bitch about. He said he'd tell Steve 
then he put me on hold until the end of the show- 4 hours and 14 minutes later. He took seven or eight other callers during the show but I never got even a courtesy "Hey sorry we're full up, try again next week".
I understand everyone wants to hear from Phil, Sexton, AP and Prado more then me but letting me know they're not getting to me would've been nice.
New to sports talk radio, huh?
Rumor on the street is Steve was actually going to offer you a co-host spot for next Monday as way of making amends. You'll probably be getting that call back in the near future.

Not new. Have heard every episode. Have heard him comment about how long others have waited on hold.many times and none of them waited as long as I did. I very rarely listen live and only did last Monday because I was surprised that nobody else had said anything about what I wanted to bitch about.
The face of a baby boomer with the attitude of Gen Z. I couldn't imagine being on hold for any length of time. Be happy you have that much "free" time.
I never have that much free time or any. I was working the entire time I was on hold. I'm way too familiar with gen Z and deal with them every day. That's not me.
I would assume the 1,000th rant about how the TV production sucks is probably a bit tired at this point.

TV show is the best it's every been- Iove almost everything about it but since I'm now paying a premium for it I want to continue with my biggest gripe- Just show the race!
Did you ever consider that maybe there were 7-8 callers in front of you?
I did and if they waited longer than me then yes they should've gotten on but that's pretty unlikely.

There's no guarantee anyone gets on a show. Guests can drop off. Is the issue no one said sorry, or that you thought you had a contract guaranteeing you'd get once you spoke to someone?
Real world, if someone comes on after you and tells Marx about a better rant, Marx's job is to put that guy in the air, not you.
Producers in sports talk radio/call-ins do this everyday and people who feel its important enough to participate that they want to call in regularly are held on line for a long time and not ever heard, maybe with an over air sorry we couldn't get to everyone that you hear on the phone, and then you decide how long you want to wait before you hang up.
Ya I know and understand and I'm not owed anything. Just venting a little.
Should've told Marx how much you love your blue cru and how the sponsors save you a ton money. Then when you get on go into your rant.
Maybe if I wanted to talk about body shaming, football, charging siblings rent or video games I could've gotten on.
