IMG 4563 1Whatup family,

I just got some Flo foot legs for the crf and i recently got some new tech 10s. I was wondering if these pegs will chew up the sole real fast (3-4 rides)? I don’t care if it does or doesn’t I was just wondering thanks yall!!

Im running some Fastways with similar pins and they seem to be a little less wear on my boots than the stock KTM pegs maybe because you aren't sliding around quite as much. This is on Sidi boots with replaceable soles which seem to wear faster than the standard Alpinestar soles.

Yes I’m my experience sharper pegs actually wear the sole less beside your boot isn’t moving around as much

I was worried about that also when my son bought his (since i buy the boots) and they have lasted longer that with the stock ones oh his other 3 ktm group bikes. Hard to wrap my head around, but with his riding it rings true.

Yea but aren’t stock KTM pegs pretty hardcore?

Even a lot of the guys with Raptors or ProPegs Ti stuff reckon their boots last longer due to being held in place, instead of sliding around cheese grater-ing themselves on blunt pegs, like AMetts said.

I think it’s mixed results. Guys who stand a lot wear them out more quickly (aftermarket vs Jap. pegs) compared to guys who sit down a lot.

Yeah I agree with this. The Ti Raptor pegs wore my boots out more, but I stand a lot. Also weird sometimes the areas that it wore! But personally I don’t think it’s an issue, the flex of the boots wear out before the sole.

That’s true because when I had the stock pegs on my boots stayed mint. But after 2 days of riding on these pegs I’m having more visible wear and I do stand through most riding at least 70/30 standing to sitting

I run the fastways with the bolt pins.  I can feel them on my feet as they have completely worn through my sg12's.  Took about 2 years of riding once a month.

I. run some meaty Ti pegs and honestly I think it cut down on my boot wear as I don't move around as much unless I intend to

I run those Flo pegs with last gen tech 10s and wear is normal.  It seems the current tech 10s wear faster though.

I want to try the A-stars but love how well my Gaerne's wear

Use the Set screw pin type and you’ll have much better grip and less wear than the spikes. Had my SG12s since 2019 running Fastways. 80 hours on one bike and who knows how many on the other, plus the times I was borrowing a bike when I was broke in college. Probably resole/replace them in a year.

I went thru a new pair of tech 7's in less than a season with some fastway pegs.

Resoled and then removed in the inner set of screws and no issues since.
