I would guess that these riders aren't taking HGH or steroids unless they are trying to get over an injury. If they are taking any kind of PED it would be EPO which is what all they cyclists take to increase indurance. EPO increases your red blood cell count which allows you to carry more oxygen to your muscles. This will increase your indurance by a considerable amount.
I read an article that UFC fighters need more red blood cells for endurance and a lot have been sleeping or training in oxygeon chambers that reduce the amount of oxygeon to mimick training at high altitude. The body notices the lack of oxygeon increases red blood cell production and then when you perform in a normal atmosphere you have substantially more red blood cells and more endurance- this is 100% naturally produced by the body and no different than flying to a high altitude throughout the week to train- should this be illegal? Sad that a thread about RD training with a legend like RC has turned into a thread like thisSad

What's so sad about RC and RD being on PEDs? We can't deny the truth forever, and they didn't break any rules or anything.... maybe it's just sad that today's athleates have devolved to this point??

Either way, there's no point in lying to the kids anymore.

The speculation about this topic has become tiresome. Time to move on.

I realize this is a touchy topic for many,
but I don't understand why. In the intrest of fairness and even ethics there is no need to stifle this conversation. Without transparency there's no way to move forward ...
