Jorge Prado oficial in 3 first Sx rounds

I’ve no idea how he’s going to do. Results wise, nothing from 6-15 would surprise me. He’s very talented and is a quick learner, which he needs to be. My main thought is that he’s surrounded by people who know SX inside and out and I’m not sure they would’ve let him do it if they thought he was going to embarrass himself

Everyone here speculating his chances, believe me he wouldn’t line up if he didn’t think he could win.
 

Sure he may have a bad night, All top pros do & always well at times, but they’re no doubt the people around him have seen enough to know. I bet he ends up putting some seasoned sx pros a lap down. 

He is a good starter, this puts him at the front already, coupled with the seasoned pro's mindset of, just getting through the first round uninjured, he might be podium material. 

With a rider of his capacity (multi time WC) and a couple of months of really good SX prep, he should be able to do really good.

Yes, the feild is "stacked", as some loves to say. But the fight for the top will be a 4 man show with Eli, Jett, Chase and Ken.

The other riders are just fill in at the gate at this point. Barcia, AC, Malcom, etc are all getting close to retirement and as it goes for the earlier seasons we all seen them drop pace late in the motos compared to the top guys. 

Prado has a top guy body, is young and fresh, so i would not be surprised if he holeshoted every race, then get passed by the top 4 guys, hangs with them half the moto and ends up 5-6th due to the gap he created early in the moto being up front. I dont see AC or Anderson typ of guys catching him late in the motos with his fitness as long as he can stay away from arm pump.

If he gets a good start I could see him easily running top 5.

Almost every euro that comes to race supercross says it's a huge adjustment getting use to sending it bar to bar with 20 guys on a supercross track under race conditions. So with a mid pack start I could see him being timid in that situation.

He is a great starter and heats are short. Even if he gets passed a few times I think he gets to the mains easy.

As a great starter he is throwing a monkey wrench into everyone else's expectations of who they have to deal with in the main. Because they will have to deal with him. I expect him to play it safe and not risk a MXGP injury, but then again he knows what he is signing up for. Certainly the factory KTM/Husky/GG riders must be sensitive to not race him too aggressively and make clean passes - that means you Barcia.

Sunderland story. Whoops looked pretty bad today. He doesn't look far off of Barcia, if at all. Pretty surprised how good he looks in the Whoops honestly. I guess Vialle brought my expectations down a bit
