Gavin is on his way to Texas. He hurt his wrist pretty bad while training for arenacross with Kelly. He is going to be training some amateur riders at a track in North Dallas called Buffalo Creek while he continues to heal. He has nothing lined up for outdoors yet but is always looking.

Yep...just drove from Ohio to Texas. If you know any kids getting ready for Loretta's he can help. We'll be getting his website going in the next couple weeks and getting him on the social networking sites for more updates.

Train with gavin gracyk @ buffalo creek
Gavin Gracyk-Top Ten AMA National Rider- is coming to Texas next week. The S.O.A.R. Academy is providing motocross training for all skill levels at Buffalo Creek. All phases of riding, training and mental conditioning will be included. Buffalo Creek offers a variety of conditions and soil types for training technique in deep sand, loam, hard pack, various jumps etc. Group classes are only $125 for a 3 1/2 hour session, or private lessons for $50/hour.

For more information and reservations call Russell Hobbs @ 214.939.4321 or email to info@buffalocreekmx.com or Gavin directly at gavingracyk@gmail.com

I have been wondering about Gavin. Its good to hear he is still around although it would be better to see him racing. Every time his name comes up I have to tell this story about him.
Last summer my son and I were walking through the pits at a local race and I noticed Gavin sitting on the tailgate of his truck so I said to my son, lets say hi and of course he said no because he is not the type to just walk up to someone and start talking. So after talking him into it we went up to Gavin and introduced our selfs and he was as cool and normal as could be. He treated my son like he knew him all his life .
Then when I asked him if he was still doing schools he said
not right now but when Im back home if you want to ride just call me . Then he took my sons phone and put his name and number in my sons phone and said call me anytime and if Im around we can ride and I will help you out.
Of course my son never called but how many pro's out there would do something like that and treat a fan like that.
We have always been a fan and after that day we will always pull for Gavin when ever he's racing.
Class act number one guy in my book!

That story reminds me of a young Bob Hannah who wrote his name and Landcaster, CA, phone number on the back of a business card, so I could hook up with him and Weinert for a ride day.

That was 1977 and I was too shy to take him up on the offer. I still have the card.Smile

Gracyk is a great kid but no SX skills means a very short MX career.
