Which current 85cc-112cc bike has the largest seat to footpeg distance?
I would like to find the bike I fit on the best and my local dealers don't have a KX112, TC85, KTM 85, or a YZ85.

What's your size and what time of riding are you looking to do? We ride woods, so may not be applicable depending on what you're trying to do.
We tried to go down this route for my wife (who is 5' 6") to get her a lighter bike with decent power (looked at the KX and CRF150R), and couldn't see how we could make the ergonomics work after having her sit on a couple at the dealer.
We tried a few bikes for her over the last few years;
- CRF230 (too heavy)
- KLX140G (she couldn't grab the tank/seat w/ her knees, we lowered pegs and raised bars but the cockpit still wasn't great)
- Beta 125 RR-S (worked, but power was horrible for how she rides, brakes/suspension were lacking to say the least)
- Beta X-Trainer (scaled down frame) which seems to be the best fit overall for her size that we've found. Gave her low end power (she at most uses 1/4 of a throttle turn at any given time). No way I'd put it on a track however with the suspension stock
Thank You...I am 5' 8" and 135 lbs. I had a KX100 but sold it because it was getting too small and my knees hurt after riding. I was able to get the handlebars moved so they were comfortable but the seat to foot peg distance couldn't be changed very easily. Now I am considering a Husqvarna TC85 19/16, Honda CRF150R, YZ85 LW, or a KX112 but I haven't been able to find any of them to check the seat to foot peg distance. I think the KX112 has the same size frame as my KX100 but I am not sure.

You're plenty big enough for a 125 or 250... get off the minis!
Get a KTM carb 125 and never look back.
Bullfrog, you find the best deal and aftermarket service to fit your budget and then you do the modifications that suit you best.
We are talking small amounts of differences between the various manufacturers, so there is no real concern.

Furthermore, if you can afford some riding lessons with a Ex Pro who can/will help with base setup then pull the trigger.

Oh come on now he's only a little taller than RC or Stew. There's no way those guys could ride anything over an 85 competitively!

That would have been perfect for a TC85 19/16 for me.
If a KX100 didn't work, I can't see any of the other options being significantly better, at least enough to solve your issues.
If you woods ride, I am happy to let you putz around on my wife's Xtrainer as it's a good option for this height range if you are trying to avoid a full size bike. Were ~45 minutes west of Pensacola.

Weight is the biggest reason I would like to go with a 85cc-112cc bike. We ride some pretty nasty trails and I have had to just about pick my bike up and carry it out of the woods.
A buddy has a '22 KTM 125 XC...last of the carbureted 2 stroke KTMs so it is a little lighter than the current EFI models. I fit on it OK and that is probably what I'll end up getting if I can't find a smaller displacement bike that works for me.
Been researching bikes a LOT and it appears the KTM/Husqvarna/Gas Gas 85cc 19/16 (all the same basic bike) has a little more room between the seat and footpegs than the Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki minis. Now I just need to find one to see if it might work for me. Thanks to everyone for all the replies.

I would suggest a YZ125. A lower saddle is an option.
Where are you riding tough trails around this area?
Ridden Bethel and Clear Creek, but both leave a bit to be desired
I'm in the same boat - i'm tall so my kid get's the same problems. He's 10 yrs and 5'6" already. I'm scared to see how more he grows come spring (in Canada - so no riding) i don't want to put him on 125 yet. The Austrian trio are bigger seat to pegs. U could get away with BW TX-SX 85 but at 5'8" i feel like you'd run out of places to hide the body parts and have weird leverage on the bike for and aft more so. I agree with previous posters - yz125 or carb Austrian 125.
My son hit a growth spurt big time this summer. On our gasgas 105 I ordered from the ktm hard parts book the 20 mm taller seat and the 30 mm bar risers . Huge difference.
Eglin Air Force Base and Blackwater State Forest...but both require your bike to be street legal.
