I have a 21 XCF 350 which has no lighting or street legal equipment whatsoever. However, it did come with a license plate which I have renewed each year. What is the least amount of street legal equipment and brand to get so I can ride it on the road just to get to a trail. I live fairly close to the Ocala National Forest and am just looking to ride to the forest and rip down the forest roads on my way to trails. If you have a similar bike configured a similar way let me know.

That is typically a state by state requirement.
Some are as simple as a seat, footrests and 1 mirror... others require headlight, taillight, brake light, turn signals, etc.
In a quick search I found this for Florida... No guarantee on it's accuracy.

If you don’t need blinkers, then the KTM stock headlight and taillight set up are pretty minimalist. Snag an EXC rear fender to bolt it to.
There are quite a few simple options to install a brake light switch too, last one I did I just had to replace the banjo bolt on the rear brake.
Yeah, state by state requirements. Here in northern Nv you can plate almost anything as long as you check all the boxes. Funny thing is that one of the required boxes is a "frame". Huh?!?
State by state requirements are less of a concern to me than in being minimalistic. I can use hand signals for turns. Just wondering if anyone else has a minimal bike they use.

We run XCWs and XCFWs, the XCs don't have electric to power lights and such. Total loss battery system maybe?
Call Slavens, they should be able to hook you up.
Yep. Or Sicass Racing has tons of stuff too.
My experience with riding in this area is that if you have a plate you're good as long as you're not riding on public roads like a hooligan and wearing appropriate safety gear. First impressions go along way in that neck of the woods.
I have a plated Husky FE350, I just used a Tusk branded kit from RockyMountain. It was very inexpensive and once connected was pretty much plug and play.
The XC 450 in my profile pic actually has the same kit...
Are any of the kits you guys are talking about quick release or at least take a half hour or less to remove?
If you see the other thread I made, the original use will be scouting for a dual sport event but, I spend 99% of my time on the trail or at Pax.
Stock KTM tailight is like 4 bolts to take off. The headlight is held on by a couple rubber straps around the forks.
You would still have the EXC rear fender but the only way to even notice that is if you look underneath and see the tabs the taillight bolts to.
Bonus to leaving the lights on when you ride MX is seeing all the moto babies absolutely risk their lives to not get passed by the guy with the headlight
Hey, I've been that guy. lmao
I was also chasing a guy on a 230f once on the vet track that didn't have a lot of jumps and was getting pissed until I found out he was a former pro. lol
as minimalist as it gets...
The XC’s have power.. The estart doesn’t run off solar.
