My dad in 1971, he is #188. This picture was in Cycle News.

Not at Saddleback but at Indian Dunes, my dad at his first race after winning the #1 plate in the Senior Expert class in SRA in 1984.

Me going over the Magoo double in '82. Check the Vendramini boots and the leather pants. Those are the same pants you see my dad wearing in the first picture.

Me in the rhythm section after the Magoo double.

One more.

What's really cool, is my dad still has that CZ sitting in his garage. Not in riding condition by any means, but still there none the less.

Nice pics RetVet, looks like the Doubles had you psyched out eh

Thats got to be morning practice, one of my old school buds Steve Wiseman (192) is behind you there, he was a 125 Intermaniac.

KTM,

That was not in the morning practice, that was an actual race. At that time, I was racing 250 novice. Are you sure that is your buddy behind me? Judging by the size of the exhaust pipe on his bike, it looks like a 250 to me.

Yes it was, that was my first new bike. I started racing in that year and raced the shit out of that bike for two years. About 1/3 of the way through the year in 1983, I started DNF'ing a LOT of races because the bike was just worn out. When I bought my '84 CR 250, I vowed to never race a bike for more than one year again.

hmm, yes that does look like a 250 zook, not a 125.
Pro Circuit Jersey, on a zook, I assumed it was Steve, now I don't know for sure.

btw I raced a 82' CR250 as well, failry good bike.

The first pictures I posted a while back, I was on a '77 YZ 125 in 1982. I raced that about 4 times and was winning the 125 beginner class. Then I got that '82 CR 250 and started winning right away and moved up to intermediate in about 4 months. Yes, that bike kicked ass for me for quite some time.

Great pic Brett. Your Dad was a cool guy. I still remember the El Caminio[/quote:47fda]

They still live in the same house Mike, you should stop by and say hey some time. I told my dad about you, he says he remembers you.
