Charged up a new Varg yesterday and spun my first laps out at River Valley MX in Boyd, TX.
Let me start with it’s been 2 1/2 years since my last moto practice day. However, I am a very dedicated mtn bike rider, so I was feeling better than you would think on the Varg.
I ran three 5 lap moto’s in very deep, perfect red TX sand/loam. I set the bike up at 40hp & 45% engine braking. Also, I opted for rear brake on the bars. I took this bike out of the crate, did not touch one clicker and went to the track.
The out of the box feel is 100% comfortable! There were 3 small/medium jumps on this track w/ good lips. Never once did I front end high or endo. Zero weirdness to any jumps I hit. It wanted you to chop the throttle as soon as you launched and the bike immediately leveled out (very comforting). The rear brake as a lever will take time to fully understand. When you’re at speed and start braking, it’s difficult to get a feel through your fingers. Moto 3 was dedicated to the rear brake. I did not use the front just so I could help develop the feel for the rear.
This bike is very easy to ride and difficult to override. It showed me just how much we have relied on a clutch to adjust our aggression. 2 1/2 years off and I had no armpump, all day. That’s saying something.
Seeing more and more Vargs every time I visit the track. The vital Vargtards are highly upset that the bikes are being delivered.

Could you run rear on the right like the Mtn bike?
Why would you do that? Most of the MTB world runs the front brake on the right, the rear brake on the left.
does the varg allow lock on grips? or does the throttle tube only accept standard grips? thx! and congrats on the Varg! Mine is scheduled for January! Cannot wait!

Rear brake on MTB's on the right side is common in the USA, but not the rest of the world, I'm sorry to inform you, the USA is not most of the world...

Here we do, not in the States and parts of Europe. Never understood any moto person who would change it around different to your bike.
I agree, some people take anything that is different as an insult, rather than recognizing things can be done differently, that doesn't make it better, or worst, just different.
Now I just need a cyber truck.
