He is doing something, and I say yes. His whoop speed alone will leave generations behind.

250 main for sure, 450 main no way. I don't think he will ever race again, tho'
The thing about Billy is his natural talent. He can still ride so well, it's sickening. Can he regain the speed? Maybe, but I think the pace is higher than it was 12-15 years ago. He'll need to bring something extra, and that's a tall order.
Night show? Without a doubt. Main? That's going to be tough.
No
It's cool to see him riding SX again.
He didn't say he was trying to make a main... Yet

Sup Peel!?
I remember pulling into Barona for a Mini Nats midweek practice and seeing this toothpick-sized kid with a seventeen letter last name on the back of his jersey just flying on a CR125 and wondering who the F is that kid?
#132.
He sure looks good on his vids. Man I forgot all about him. Used to love his style and it looks like he’s still got it. The mullet is throwing me off though lol he was always clean cut. Looks like some dude that left the local honky tonk and decided to rip some moto 😂😂
LOL
No.
Pace hasn't changed that muchat the front in the last 15 years. What your seeing is the lcq to 15th place guys have caught up due to better bikes, suspension and motor work. But the 2 biggest things that have helped the back marker guys is way more sx tracks to practice on, having legit sx practice tracks to ride, retired pros from the late 90's mid 2000 who have real experience on current track design an techniques. Practice facilities like club ect. Al of this has brought the back up to speed.
I would love to see Billy do well.
However, the speeds have increased so much in the last few years I don't think it's viable. He was finishing in the mid teens and low 20's in his last races in 2012, and he finished 32nd overall for the season. He only won 1 race in his pro career, back in 2005.
Imagine if a mid level NFL running back retired for 12 years and tried to return to the game against younger fitter more aggressive players. I think coming back to Supercross is much harder than that.
RV was complaining last week that he has trouble holding on to a stock 450 any more and has to have Kris Keefer tow him over jumps now when he rides.
"Pace hasn't changed that muchat the front in the last 15 years"
Dude really?
Don't bring facts into this.
100% the top 5 elite are not vastly faster then the top 5 from 05 up. Jett included.
I'm not saying the pace is the same obviously it's faster due to bike advancements. But the pace set by the top 5 hell top 10 riders has not progressed in the same way it has in previous years.
Reed at 30 something or 40 finishing 4th in a sx for suz. Dungey after 5 years off comes back and is not far off Eli and chases pace. Finished between what 4th and 6th all year off the couch. Who in the top 15 of points from 05 up would be that outclassed today on equal top 15 equipment. Who from the top 15 in points from 05 up if born 10 years later to have all of the accumulated knowledge, available tracks, training facilities would not be faster.
What your seeing is the back of the pack and mid pack riders catching up to the elite guys. The elite riders will always be faster that's why thier elite championship guys.
But at the same time I have to say look at the top 20 450 guys most do have at least a 250 title which it pretty cool.
I don't think he can make a 450 main, but I'll be cheering for him if he lines up and screaming if he makes it. It awesome that he is back in the bike and his style is still as good as ever.
Can anyone remember what movie it was where he said something like "my dad always told me you jump for show and corner for dough"? Maybe TGO industrial strength?
