I’m currently recovering from shattering my talus and fractured tibia. I’m wondering if anyone has used these to get back to riding? I’m thinking it’ll give my ankle a little more stability and instill a little confidence knowing there’s a stop so it doesnt flex too much too soon. They’re just expensive.
Any feedback would be appreciated and/or any other suggestions you may have. Thanks!

I think it would help, especially in your case. The inventor was a local vet rider from my area and I saw several different pegs as he tested them. He sold his idea to Fastway and I hope he did well.
"Probably." - Eli Tomac
I use them after a Achilles injury. Don't intere with regular riding and won't ride without out them. Been riding with them for 5 years.
I tore my achilles in 2020. I don't use them.

I bought them for this year, I'm not too sure if my ankle ever contacts the stops. At least I don't feel it if it does.
IMO yes. I broke my talus as well, and ankle savers + SG12s give me some peace of mind if I overshoot a jump.
To me, if you have a job where you're on your feet constantly, $300 is a drop in the bucket to prevent being off work for 8+ weeks. Unless you're like me and have multiple bikes, then its a bit more. 🤣
Pretty sure that xray caused more than 300$ of misery.
Ive been running them since 2017 after an achilles injury, full rupture.
If they will prevent another or not is questionable, but it certainly doesn’t hurt IMO. Kind of like neck braces, of which ive had numerous styles and now running a Millsaps style doughnut vs none at all. Its my compromise and my decision and my comfort level for now.
Moto On!
Thanks for the replies people. When it gets closer to riding time I’ll probably look into throwing them on the bikes one at a time.
FWIW, I wear tech 7's and I think a stiffer boot would've been a better move than these pegs.
Never thought about it, I have snapped an achilles tendon in my 20's.
Is Tomac using them now?
Eli Tomac: "I'll take Wish I had them in round 16 for $1000, Alex".
No. No pro is using these because it limits their movement on the pegs. I believe it's especially an issue in SX whoops where us normal riders don't have to worry about.
I swear by them - haven't had a sprain with - had them all the time without - old slow guy practice rider - might not be applicable to a faster/fitter rider
This is false information. Maybe the top pros don't use them, but there are definitely people paying their bills from riding who use them. Gared Steinke uses them.

Carson Mumford was using them last year in lieu of the typical PC Ti pegs:
Any images / links to these pegs?
Thanks
I know, I was going to include Mumford using them for like 2 weeks and Stankdog who's made one main on the 125 but it's not significant in the paddock at all.
It's more significant than some nobody on the internet saying "no pros use them"
Pit Row
love mine! highly recommended
Mumford choosing them instead of his team's promoted product maybe speaks louder than some of the various sponsorships out there. Must've felt safer with them. I mean, you know PC wants their product showcased.
He's running them on the MCR bike now:
Didn't realize he's running them again, that's cool to see. I thought it was only when healing his injury. Again, I have the pegs and don't plan on taking them off.
I use them and truly can't tell they're any different from standard pegs other than the confidence knowing that added area is back there in case of a hard impact. I think it's a great idea for motocross. I think they look cool, but I can see some riders looking at them as some sort of training wheels for Foot pegs.
The better the boots movement the wider the peg required, it’s like a catch 22.
...and Eli removed the ankle safety mechanism from his A-stars.
My dad bought the original design of them in the late 2000's, they looked more like a cage on the back of the peg. That was after a nasty full rupture of his Achilles. I started running version 2 and liked them.
In recent years I've bumped around a few bike models, now have a couple bikes in the garage and don't run them, but would like too. I strained my Achilles this spring pretty good, still felt the pain after three months. I wanted to run them again but couldn't fork over the cost, so I watched Ebay. I bought a set of second gen listed for my KX450 for $100. But when they arrived, they didn't fit. So now those sit on the shelf and I'm still on stock. This post might motivate me to just buy the new pegs.
