So I went back and looked at the pics from the coliseum and I hadnt noticed it before or really thought in to it at all, but the bikes had 2 different graphic sets.
The one ricky was on looked a lot more like a race bike with fox, cometic, boxo, and monster logos on the bike.

Jeff Stantons bike had no logos on it besides the triumph logo and the graphics looked like something that would come on a stock bike, as well as the white fender which has been popular on many different brands over the years. It also had blank white number plates.

Tf250x sticker on side plate the way stock bikes do.

Compared to the factory bike.

The factory bike keeps the black white and yellow colors of the stock bike plus the white rear fender. Another thing I hadnt thought about is the factory bike has a black front plate with white side plates so this is the mxgp factory bike. The US bike could be slightly different.
I’m not sure what rickys bike is supposed to be so maybe it was just done up with his own sponsors for the ride day. Either way I would bet that Jeff Stantons bike is what the oem bike is going to look like even though they havent officially revealed this yet. It looks pretty good imo I like the zebra stripe pattern.
Idk, but Jeff's bike looks great. Hope to hear from my dealer soon.
The factory Triumph looks hot!
RCs graphics with just the triumph logo would look better than the design Stanton had for the production bike IMO.
I’m kinda warming up to the black a bit more. Its so hard not to automatically think of a roached out craigslist bike with mulisha stickers when I see black plastics. If I can get past that though Ive always driven black cars and had black sport bikes so this isnt that much different than that. I think in time itll just be natural that one of the colors is black.

Every brand manufacturer has “their” color that is iconic and doesn’t really change over the years. Triumph went with black? Kinda felt like a darker green would’ve been cool but what do I know.
Only just noticed that Mxgp bike has a carbon tank on it as well. 🤤
To the original post, you are correct. Jeff was riding the oem production model bike with oem graphics. Ricky was on the same bike but with his own personal graphic package showcasing his sponsors of Monster Energy, Fox, Boxo USA, Cometic Gaskets, Dunlop, and Armored Graphics.
I'm with you dude, I'm a big fan of black vehicles of all sorts generally, I think the stigma and typical low quality and/or lack of taste on black dirtbikes over the years has given us some kind of complex 😂
Maybe this will turn the tide.
That said, the Star bikes are clearly very well presented and built yet I still hate the amount of black on them, maybe because it's a Yamaha so I'm expecting or wanting them to be yellow, white or blue?
Good looking bike with either the Stanton or RC graphics. I'm not crazy about the GP bike, but even it's not horrible.
I wish they would of went with the dark green they use on a lot of their bikes. The black looks fine and the graphics are okay I think they look sort of cheesy for some reason but I think its just cause I'm not use to seeing a new bike/color/manufacture.
they messed up not making it dark green
I'm curious to see how they look after putting some hours on it. I've always thought black plastic looks nice when its new and shiny but it ages a lot faster than other colors.
Called it.
Before anyone asks, yes Id like a cookie 🍪 .
I find it disappointing if you had to second guess whether or not those were the OEM graphics...
Agreed on the dark green.
I'm biased...but the green with white frame is a knockout look. (my bike)
