Anyone know what the heck is going on at pro taper? Their bars will be a collectors item soon. Out of stock everywhere

Think they're in the same boat as Answer Racing.

How is the flex on the ODI bars compared to a Fat Bar or EVO Pro Taper bar?

I'm thinking about getting the flexx bars. I've seen nothing but great reviews. Little pricey at $400 but seems to be worth the investment from what I read about them

I just tried to order a set of Race Team EVO's through my dealer and they said they would be backordered until at least the end of October. I wasn't holding my breath so I bit the bullet and ordered a set of 827 bend Fatbars, which were also backordered, but only for a week. Sheesh. Don't crash, lol.

I've ran Flexx bars several times in the past.  They are good but I don't know that the benefits are worth the huge weight gain for me.  Pro Taper EVO are super comfy bars in my experience.

Get the XC Gear handlebar mount instead, its like the flexx bars, but it allows for flex in all directions, and kills all vibration in the handlebars. Its steep on price too, around 400 bucks, but its pretty well worth it.

I think the Renthal 827 Fatbar is the most popular aftermarket bar currently.

Protaper Contour KX high- been running this bar for many years. Such a great bend and height. Never ever get blisters and rarely get arm pump..

Got Phoenix 70mm bars; like a low bar. Good quality, very comfortable bend.

Are the Pro Taper (at least the cheaper Contours) made in China now (or always have been)?

I wouldn't run them, but there are LOADS of super cheap ProTaper contours and their mini/pitbike bars on eBay either from random ghetto sellers who clearly aren't moto people as well as from bulk sellers in China. They even have different colours and bends, which make me think they were making them there and now the Chinese are just ripping them off and selling themselves as they seem to do...

Renthal is still made in England right? Assuming Mika and ODI are US made?

I'm still going back and forth between some OE Husky Pro Tapers and some KTM high Twinwalls (which are unfortunately orange, feel good but look terrible...)

I really like my Pro taper Evo bars. But now I can't find the race team bend anywhere.

On the out skirts of town usually with a little red neons glowing around you can find them.

I believe pretty much every brand is made in Asia somewhere other than renthal. I switched to the fatbar on my new husky and they are the most comfortable bar I’ve ever used. I’ve jumped around brands the last few years and going back to renthal I really noticed a difference.

You forgot to include "Straight" as an optionLaughing I'll run damn near anything so long as it's not tweaked!
