How often have you changed oil? Or is this your first oil change?

Typically you can see some, very hard to get all out from the machining processes. I would watch closely maybe change you oil again in 2-3 hrs and see if you see any more

I change oil about every 3-4 hours and filter every other.  probably my 5th oil change.

I have 13 hours on mine and have not seen anything like that.  I did have a little bit of trash on the filter screen of the first oil change but that was it.

IMG 2574This was at 8 hours on my 23 350. I’m not really concerned, but the oil change at 4 hours didn’t have pieces like this. I’ve been told it’s normal

What does the screen look like? Have you been pulling it and cleaning it at every oil change?

Yea metal screen was clean.  I kinda tried to knock on the filter to see if anything big came out and nothing.  I should have cut it open to really see.

You can just pull back the folds on the filter to get a look without having to cut it open. If there isn’t any metal in the screen there isn’t much in the oil. How did the magnetic drain plug look?

I had some of those arc/semi circle shavings in my KTMs (both 250sx and 250f). They both ran great and never had engine issues.

Drain plug was clean with nothing.
