Stock KTM is a decent upgrade if you can get it cheap. Yosh is smooth and mellow, FMF feels better down low, and PC feels better in the upper ranges. Those were my observations.

Best thing I ever did to my bike was adding the full fmf system to my bike! Gave the bike way more snap and better throttle response and recovery.

just make it a little fatter on the bottom and while keeping it big and smooth into the upper midrange.

I’ve got a stock KTM header & muffler…also an FMF slip-on…if you’re interested.

Also, get the KTM/Husky map switch it allows access to more maps and t/c.

If it is like the 250, the ktm header eliminates a bog in the low to mid and a bit less snap right off idle. If the muffler has the ice cream cone in it you can take it out. There are videos on YouTube.

Even if you take the cone restrictor out of the stock exhaust the bike starts to pop a little. Just put a pipe on and you'll get flame-out issues. Really need to match a pipe with an ECU tune so it doesn't run ragged.

I am guessing that the ktm, husky and gasgas have the same ecu. if that is so the ktm and husky have pipes on them from the factory. are those bikes having any issues? fmf slip-on was looking like the one I was going To do. what do you think?

I would still recommend to wait for the Vortex over the exhaust even with the wait.

I have the FMF full system and the Twisted Development exhaust flange on my 21 MC450. I'm a 50+ Intermediate and like this set up a lot. I had a Yamaha 450 before my GasGas and liked the harder hitting power of my Yamaha. The FMF system made my GasGas feel more like the Yamaha. I feel like the stock GasGas is too smooth.

If you get the KTM/Husky Map/TC Switch, you can use the other maps that're already in your ECU.

I've ridden Husky and KTM 450s and played with map switch modes...
Map 2 allows the bike to accelerate through the power a little quicker.  It's a big improvement on deep or rutted tracks, especially if you like to lug the bike a bit.

Having just come back in my shop from riding my MC350F, I'm 100% onboard with the map switch install.
My track is soft / sandy with steep jumps out of corners (Arenacross meets Southwick) and I just got a ton of rain.
Map 2 with TC turned on is well worth the price of admission on these GasGas four bangers when it's a little soft and slick like it is here today.
