I truly love the fact that we have people dedicated to reading the names of the ones we lost on that day & I’m certainly one of those that believes we must never forget.
I know many of us remember that day and I’ll bet most of us remember exactly how it felt when you realized what was happening.
The memorials, foundations and various charities that have been created to commemorate and provide for the affected families from that day are, also, a shining example of how we can come together and do some good…even in the long dark shadow of such a horrific tragedy.
As for how we remember, what we remember and why? That belongs to the individual. All the while…it’s something we share as a nation and as a people…together.
While I do take exception to our President not going to New York and taking a moment to recognize the fallen & simply taking the time to be a leader and bring the American people together for a moment over one of the very few things that we can…and do…allow ourselves to “be one” just for a moment…well, to be honest? I don’t mind him not being there. He’s just making a prime example of what really matters to him & showing his disregard for tradition and “The American People”.
But, never-mind all that…we can use this day to remember the fallen, remember the heroes, remember the 343 and “never forget”.
It’s what we do.
I feel like it means a lot more to our generation. It was an event that most of us know exactly where and what we were doing. I myself was on an airplane waiting to take off. When I heard that a second plane hit, I started gathering my stuff from the bin and started trying to get off the plane. Got a bit scolded by the stewardess but then the pilot announced on the intercom we'd all be getting off the plane. We were still sitting at the gate waiting to leave the gate. I remember a few weeks after going on a business trip to NY and my niece lived on Staten Island. I said we going to ground zero. She was still traumatized as some of her friends families were working in the towers when they fell. Through some of my treatments I have lost a lot of memories (I just tell people I've done too many drugs and let them think what they want) but some things I remember very clearly. Visiting ground zero and breathing the debris in the air thinking this is the last thing some of these people were breathing before they died had a very big impact on my life. I read recently that we have now lost more first responders from related causes then we lost during the rescue, search and recovery.

Never forget...
My wife and, I were married shortly before 9/11.
I was laid off a two days before. Young, frustrated and, full of pride at the time, I left after a huge fight. I was up all night thinking F-THIS!!
The next morning I got a phone call from her saying I needed to come home. By the tone of her voice I knew something serious was happening. I headed over and, as I walked into our apartment, I glanced up at the TV just as the second tower was struck. She said that’s the second plane to hit a tower this morning. One already hit the other tower. Everything from the night before was meaningless. America was under attack. I’ll never forget where I was that day. I’ll never forget the state of shock my wife and, I were both in this day, 22 years ago.
I’ll always remember 9/11. All its victims and, it’s heroes.
Never forget the fuckers that attacked us on Sunday or Tuesday mornings

Pretty sure most, if not all, of the Japanese folks involved on Dec 7 have passed on. Plus Japan had been a model ally for 60+ years.
The Saudis, on the other hand, now own the PGA! Crazy, right?
The day the Laws of Physics went on holiday.
And the day i woke up to how the world is really run.
Never forget.
Tirzeh and myself were newlyweds, Destiny was just a baby.
Was working for DOE at the time. Tirzeh woke me up and said somebody had flown in to the WTC. While I thought, “what kind of dumbass can’t avoid a building that size”, watched the second one go in.
It was at the point I knew what I was witnessing wasn’t an accident.
Worst thing to come out of it was the “Patriot Act”!
Yeah like all the fucks driving in misubishi's if there was an atta car some fuck would probably drive it too..
We lost some of our freedom that day. Never forget.
I have to admit that back then I believed most of what the government feed me about that day. Today I think there's more to the story that we don't know. But today is not the day for that discussion. Today we remember that people who just wanted to go to work and make a life for them and their families. No political influence of international affairs, just doing what they did every day, to earn a paycheck and go home to their families. Gone because of some force they never even knew or could have effected. And the people willing to risk their life to go help people in need in the destruction. The people that stepped up and helped save lives without even thinking they might get hurt or even die trying to help someone they never met. Because individually we have some fucked up people that walk amongst us, but as a whole we are pretty good fucking people that take care of each other and step up when called. While we are sad for those we lost, we also have to be proud of the people we are that jump in to help without regard to our own safety. These people are a model for what we should strive to be.

And why anyone would down vote the original post is beyond me. NO matter what you believe about that day, we need to remember the people always.
Definitely hits my generation hard. We were all directly affected by the events that morning. I know many people who answered the call and went to war for the next 21 years. I don't want to say it was all for nothing, but in the end, it really kind of was. In 21 years, we lost many, brought many home that are and will be permanently scared, killed 1 guy in a different country than we invaded, and left that country worse off than when we first got there. That feeling all Americans had on the 12th of September is something that I just wish one more time we could have as a whole. It would probably fix a lot of the problems we have today.
On September 11 (Japan time), we got hit by a typhoon and everyone was sent home from work early. Cool by me, because my oldest son was a month old and the time, and the more time I got to spend with him, the better. The next morning (September 11 US time), I woke up to a panicked phone call from my boss telling me to "turn on the TV...we are UNDER ATTACK!" I'll never forget those words. To everyone who was lost that day, you're in my thoughts. To everyone who has done the deed since, thank you.
Our family will make the drive to Tempe town lake to pay respects.
I’ll never forget that day. I was flying in the area that day. I told my story about it in the conspiracy thread, and don’t want to bore anyone by repeating it.
thank you. I won't derail the thread, but a LOT happened "behind the scenes" that day.
Some will say 'today isnt the day' but when is 'the day'.
All those lost, deserve the truth .
All those left, deserve the truth.
And those that let it happen, deserve to be tried in a court of law.
It was a War Crime.
You don't understand the laws of physics!
Luckily for you, i do.
Pit Row
the entire thing is so unbelievable that it was clearly a staged event. The second I watched the tower fall, I said out loud in my office "That fucking thing had charges on it!" but here we are, 22y later....asking no questions. And the Pentagon - that whole situation is straight up comedic for them to claim a plane hit one of the most secure buildings on earth and not ONE cctv camera picked it up. lol. and let's not forget, the FBI confiscated all security camera footage for miles around the pentagon.
Whatever. Nothing will ever come of it, but i hope to be there to see people judged for the murder of over 3000 innocent people....for PROFIT.
Care to explain the mental gymnastics you went through to prove the Laws of Physics were broken that day?
are you serious? That's an honest question.
Yes...
And…here we go again. There are plenty of old threads to dig up where this has been argued…
I won't derail the thread as I promised. But if you think those buildings fell down cause of airplanes....well....we'll just agree to disagree. And the Pentagon is almost comedic at how poorly it was handled. But I digress.....carry on.
You have nothing. Got it.
A plane flew into each building. The impact, explosion, and fire were more than enough to severely weaken the core. The weight of the floors above the impact zone buckled the steel. And it all came down.
18 of the attackers were of Saudi descent, but it was a good excuse to kick the shit out of Afghanistan for 25 years.
lol. just think - one of the WTC buildings fell over....all on its own...collapsing cleanly upon itself...24h later....having suffered no damage! Ta-da!!!
in the history of construction, no FIRE has ever caused a building to collapse by "melting the steel". Of all conspiracies, this one is the easiest for me to understand as the most logical reasons are the simplest explanations. NONE of 9/11 happened the way you've been told.
If you believe it was staged, it was.
If you believe it was not staged. It wasn’t.
Next…
What planes flew into building 7?
Take it somewhere else, you fucking numbskulls. Keep this as a memorial thread.
Post a reply to: 9/11…22 years later…
